If you would have a Tactical wargear that could tag enemies, or if we have a way to highlight a target for our squad, then that would add a little icon on top of their heads that would also be using the color coding you chosen (or just basic red as with a reticule over an enemy).
That would also be optimal, because in order to tag a target you'd ensure he was spotted legitimately first, which wouldn't defeat the purpose of stealth ^_^.
how about let vehicles with "searching lights" (which get controlled by a passanger) on their roof detect and mark enemies if they are in the lightcicle for longer then 2 sec? also the "support class"(if it exist at all^^) could have something like this like our apothecary on the SM artwork
I think light beams are a bit to big, if you know what I'm saying. But again, just seeing them and calling it out would help for a good part. IMO not marking them would allow for great teamwork, as you'd have to communicate with the other players.
A signum is what you want. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Signum#.UpY1zsRDuN8 See that big camera thing on the Sargent's shoulder? I think that's a signum since the signum article doesn't provide a picture. Use this to give players the ability to spot priority targets that the whole squad can see.
Meh. I would rather it be "Red is a bad guy, F**** him up", but for a more realistic approach It would be Team colors. My opinions on color scheme for each faction SM:Gold/Blue CSM:Black/Red Orkz:Take a wild guess.... Eldar:Light blue/White?
Here is my issue. In Planet Side 2 I always play New Conglomerates, but when my friends force me to play the other faction, I am still used to the fact that purple/red mean enemy, and I accidentally team kill. I feel that this should be optional whether to have distinct colors based on sub faction (chapters/warbands etc) with the option to have the simplistic red vs blue hud display for IFF.
