Lol no I mean players just trying to be stealthy, like in the example I used where a Kommando Nob is covered in camo in the brush. What would be the point if an enemy can see you glowing a random color ><
Now that I agree with! Same with tab [next] targeting to find people attempting to flank that you would have never noticed otherwise.
well tabing to next is more something for a normal MMORPG and as i suggested earlier in this thread just have marks for allys and only for enemies if you used something to mark them (psyker powers or some tools for example)
It's not about turning it off unfortunately, if it's available to anyone they'll use it to their advantage as I know I would. Think how difficult it would be to see some Night Lord raptors flying though the air in the dead of night, which will be intentional, since they have dark armor colors. Having this color coding enabled would defeat the purpose of surprise night attacks or anything like that, because they'd just like up red in the dead of night. You'd be at such a massive disadvantage if you had it turned off, no one ever would.
Maybe if you turn it off for other players it's turned off for you as well. So you can only see people who choose to keep it on. I definitely turn it off then because I like stealth.
-_-, lol everyone will turn that shit off then. (<- this is my opinion, but I think you can see where I'm coming from. If players think they can get an advantage above other palyers they'll do it even if it makes the game harder for them). I don't think BeHavior would do this considering an incoming horde would probably look like it had the chickenpox with random red dots every few players.
Then it's not a problem, is it? It isn't for me at least since I don't really want markers on players.
Hahaha - not read everything but I didn't ment colouring the models themselves but their representation on the map/radar/whatever. This would extend to HUD elements like Objectives and such. Models wouldn't be modified as their shape and faction/sub-faction colors are enough to know who they are.
