    Know very little about any gameplay mechanics at all. Its going to be awhile until the project finally comes out of Alpha.

    Normally, except in rare circumstances, when a marine goes down, he has taken so much damage that it's unlikely he will be up again any time soon. Their physique is so resistant to damage and has built in pain reducers ect... that if they don't get back up on their own they need severe long term attention.

  3. Oh yes... we're awesome, thanks :p
  4. And then everyone will be yelling ''NERF APOTHECARY PL0X''.

    Interestingly enough I remember Psykers having the capacity to heal people in the 40k Roleplay so I looked up if Librarians have the same ability in the Deathwatch rulebook. To my surprise they don't. I'm not sure why.

    apothecaries = healers
    libarians = warp powers
    chaplains = buffs
    tech marines = repair vehicles, make turrets etc

    What they need to do is when a player applies to get that position in the squad (and it should be applied to, who here knows the pain of having a terrible healer in the squad for WoW, let alone complete and utter combat with X vs X am0unt of people) has around 200 d6 that they carry around at all times. From there they have to go around rolling 4+'s until they get up again.

    I'm really looking forward to the Apothecary. It's the class I'm most interested in and the one I'll likely play religiously. I'd love it if the advanced progression of Apothecary led to being a Chaplain, but that's not how it works - Astarte Chaplains are chosen as a neophyte, and their role differs from that of an Apothecary.

    Apothecaries look after the physical well being of their battle-brothers, where as Chaplains look after their spiritual well being. I guess as a game mechanic you could have one specialization which focuses on mitigating/repairing damage received (Apothecary), and another which buffs damage done (Chaplain).

    All aboard the hype train. It has no breaks.

  9. They need to make extraction of gene seed an actual mechanic. Could maybe add a bonus to squad respawn time or something?

  10. I agree! I love these ideas! I was thinking the same thing. The only really good idea for "Feel No Pain" would be temporary health to get them back into the fight for a time.

    And if they're bleeding then give them a shot to boost their Larramans Organ and stem the bleeding.

    I love it!
