Anyone think fully/mainly premade team unfair?

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by OrgulloCatolico, May 21, 2017.

  1. No, I don't think they are unfair. As a 100% pug, I enjoy bumping in to them, because they provide me with a more entertaining and engaging battle. We can all communicate and the tactics in this game are simple, so it's not like we need to study military academic material to get the gist. They don't have massive advantage or anything. Just players who happen to like fighting together.

Guilds, pre-made units, these are just players. I'm a player. We are on equal footing. We have access to the same in game things, like weapons+armor+voice chat.

Never said I could but I'd rather be on equal ground. PUGs v PUGs means that both teams are at the mercy of each player's willingness to work with their team and adapt to the situation at hand. Premades have guaranteed communication and the ability to move as a group. If I join a guild then every match is gonna be a stomp until the guild sets up a GvG match when everyone is free to participate but I want to play the game at my leisure and I sure as fuck will not be spending that time bullying randoms or being bullied by guilds

Yeah I feel ur fury flowing in ur blood lel,but my response is still that sample---I wont waste my time being a punching bag of a premade team,u can choose to stack u up,use this legal but unfair 'glitch' to get adventage against pugs,I can also stack me up,or just leave,1000 times legal,to avoid that unfair situation. As u said at first, this is a part of this game, take it or better delete the game. And,did the forum policy told u never to insult others?Instead of calling ppl cancer,I'd say using premade team against pugs is a 'legal cheat'.

I don`t think there will ever be a good solution to this.

We would need like 4-5 different queues.
1 queue for full warparties competitive games
1 queue for full warparties casual games (those 2 queues could be merged if we had any kind of MMR)
    1 queue for smaller warparties
    1 queue for solo only
(1 additional queue for solo competitive mode)

If you think queue times were bad during the last campaign, splitting up the players in different queues would get you a match per day if you´re lucky.

Honestly, the only thing we need is a better competitive GvG mechanic. The current one is just too cumbersome that I can fully understand that most guilds can´t be bothered to use it and rather just queue for a normal game.

Also, guildstacks are NOT undefeatable. Just this weekend I had a match against an almost full stacked chaos guild and we won defending Blackbolt. And it was a much more fun game than most pub games.

I agree with you, this game has barely enough population to sustain 1 queue. Thats why the 30v30 feature was cancelled and why the premade upper limit was increased. The current matchmaker attempts to pit warparties against each other but after a 10 minute wait (outside of mm breaking campaigns) it simply gives up and pushes you in the next possible game. This should illustrate already that there are not enough equalsized warparties at any given time, which is quiet logical considering the low concurrent usernumbers at peak and the split on 4 factions with massive population discrepancies between them.

If you leave match you are bigger problem than players blind and deaf to orders. I just love to get into a game that is over in 30 seconds because a bunch of children with fragile egos like yours just left. Learn how to play team game and push on devs to make mandatory tutorial for squad awareness. Maybe then you`ll stop ruining this game for others.

"I only want to play against people I can beat easier, screw anyone who wants to play with friends."

I bet you are the guy who sees two guys with the same outfit tag, then when you lose you complain "oh man a whole team stack of tryhards!"...when there was only two guys.

Ah the old randoms v grouped argument, the old "its a team game, therefore groups should be allowed to stomp randoms", "not our problem you don't have friends" , "Git Gud!" and a plethora of piss poor reasoning to excuse playing with a crutch.
Generally players that need 4 v 1 odds to win a fire fight, justify stomping randoms as they tryhard on comms, nuff said.
BTW if you have the right to drop as a group, then that solo player is just as entitled to leave a game if he/she is not enjoying a game against an organized group/war party.
Trying to force people to be punished if they leave a game thats a one way street, is just plain fucking selfish and frankly desperate behaviour.

I have yet to see a single convincing argument against allowing warparties to queue against randoms. I also don't consider people leaving a game much of an issue. If your warparty experiences a lack of enemies, it's up to your warparty to consider splitting into two smaller units.
