That model is from one of GW's oldest and most outdated models they still produce and it shows. Honestly surprised they did not spring to replace it with the new codex. I hope the single transport option warbike looks like the new models, because as is, the one thing I was most excited for, a purchasable ride option to customize, just looks dumb to me. They could have copied forgewords/dawn of war 2's trakk buggy. I have no idea why they went with the 1989 model.
AFAIK, it's drawn placeholder concept art. I agree, though, that it does look pretty lame. I was thoroughly bummed when I saw the picture. Instead of looking "ded killy!" it looks like one of the scooters for old folks.
I think they're more going for the mechanic of carrying 2 orks than the look of it. I get the feeling that they'll make it look good in-game. How about I just throw out a request to see a 360 walkaround of the current state of the warbuggy's 3D model?
At present, I'm reasonably certain really freakin' hope there isn't a 3D model yet. That was the point of my saying it's a placeholder. I just also hope they come up with something good and orky for the actual design of the thing.
How can you be so certain there isn't a 3D model yet when there are already fully functional, and textured, Rhinos rampaging all over their gameplay footage? ;D
Because.... because... okay, I can't actually be certain that there isn't a 3D model of any sort. BUT! I can be equally uncertain that any model they do have is still in its conceptual stages and is not necessarily the design they'll end up going with? Aside from blind and fervent hope, I can't; if the model does actually follow the mock-up we've been given, I'm going to be a very, very sad Ork.

Honestly, I don't see the problem I'm sure they'll model it to be in line with the rest of their designs. My only problem with the buggy was how runty the crew looked, but that won't be an issue for the game at all as they'll just keep our normal character models. Besides,that Warbuggy is a classic!
I get the feeling that since red paint is an upgrade in the codex, it may also be a sidegrade in-game, or only available for Evil Sunz since they started this fad.
