Or hating on them because they are Mary Sues. Or hating on them because they get all the credit the IG should get. Or hating on them because GW releases three hilariously overpowered SM codexes for every Non-SM one. Or hating them because they have an obnoxious fanbase. The list goes on.
Ultimately, I believe every faction is going to be added, including Grey Knights. Although I think the best way to implement Grey Knights is to create A Daemon Hunters faction as a wholr and start off using Inquisitorial storm Troopers as the base class as they're tougher then your average human and then include the Grey Knights only as the top tier class of that faction. With the Sisters of Battle I truly think yhey sre going to be included. However the main hesitation now is by adding too many Imperial subfactions it may give too much power to one side....until all of those allying factions realize that only one of them can win the campaign. In the end, every member of this forum is only going to be a small feaction of the games overall population, most of the players will be peopke who dont know much about 40k so the developers have to appeal to them as well in order for the game to survive in the long run. They're going to do tgat through dlc and new races that add variety and new flavors and experience that your average gamer desires and the SoB will be added to appeal to tge female players.
To be honest, I myself was contemplating the SoB's ever being included in the game. I remember I really liked Soulstorm (for the SoB's themselves, nevermind anything else). It actually had me a little intrigued by the appearance of their units and their attachment to the Ecclesiarchy. They're part of the lore is also quite fascinating, and how they fought for and earned their place as a separate military entity. Not to mention that angry women with guns is a terrifying yet appealing effect. I hope at some point they do include them for sure. It would be a good way to implement the Inquisition and give us another tool against our enemies (Space Marines are tools of the Imperium too). Plus it would add the female option to the Imperium side in a pretty damn cool way.
An Imperial faction that had the following classes: - Commissar (you are a "mastermind" class and can summon/dismiss a squad of minion Imp Guard and ride around in a tank) - Assassin, sent to focus on enemy leaders (sniper or melee class, depending on type) - Sister of Battle (soldier class) - Adeptus Mechanicus tech priest (engineer class) - Primaris Psyker (psy class, obviously) With the same overall back story and quest lines to follow would seem a perfectly well-rounded and plausible path through the game. I'd find that much more engaging than anything an Ork faction could have to offer (well, except Mekboyz, they could be fun).
That's actually a good idea. Implement it so there are multiple choices for the Imperium race and have it merged into one miscellaneous faction, so certain things don't get left out. Which could also act as the Inquisition in general. As opposed to having to add the SoB as an entire faction, then add Assasinorum, etc.
For the sake of population balance I hope they're added later rather than sooner. Looks like Space Marines are going to outnumber everyone anyway... Nothing against SoB though, I would choose them over SM anyday.
