I always use Sikkbombs. Being in voice comms with my baby boyz da DLBs, if I need to heal someone I usually call em out to go to a secret corner to show them love with my syringe, whereas I find the current healing grenade to be unreliable and underwhelming. As for the Sikkbombs, Bilgecrank has the right of it: they are to be used as are denial in choke points, to cover entrances, and to make people SCATTER AND RUN LIKE THE PUNY PINKSKINS DEY'Z ARE. Sikkbombs are especially wonderfully in soloplay, where you can just use them offensively in the melee range. Also, they are quite effectively a smoke bomb in many cases, making it hard for shooters outside to aim at your friends from a specific point. They're a blast to use, when done effectively. They're my most beloved weapon, and one I find to be very underappreciated.
You are correct. I didn't play early orks that much because they played like true TT orks--rushing a gun line of marines and just getting slaughtered with no armor save. I wasn't going to be other faction's target practice. It was ridiculous how quickly you died and melee was complete crap. I played Imperial Fists during that time because my Iron Warriors were not in the game and I already leveled up two Word Bearers to 5. But now orks play as a bunch of Nobs. Just like SM play like a bunch of Vets and CSM play like a bunch of Chosen. Orks are so powerful now there really is nothing to complain about maybe other than not having burnas or a melta equivalent. We are tough. We are strong. We are grot accurate.
the complain from the lsm are kinda legitimate, a space marine is a human tank, them weapon are decent and can normally take some bullet or a beating. but there the reality.... space marine get shreds to mince meat by ork, eldar and chaos. depending of the weapon and such. the csm have the autocannon that simply destroy a space marine in less time that it's needed for say for leman russ. the trouble is not that the weapon is a heavy and must do this, it's the trouble that the weapon is extremely accurate and can kill you at some insane range. the eldar have some nasty weapon that kill a csm quite fast too. without forget that the have the hawks and the dragon, both totally broken, they are free loadout. when a csm must purchase some weapon for get the melta by example. the hawk is broken for another reason, the time he can stay high and the accuracy of him weapon is same. i will not talk of the vehicule, did you try a rhino or a predator recently? they are a pain to drive, far more than a truck! the eldar one are extremely fast and turn at insane speed. and here come the ork, they have extremely accurate weapon, ton of hp, have broken weapon and them dakka are more accurate and deadly than a bolter.... ork are know for shoot tons of bullet but miss most of them! here is not the case, worst, they have melee weapon bugged and surexploited (i can't understand why it wasn't corrected yet, it's a huge trouble) for csm, you can't beat an ork in melee, because of the broken melee weapon and you can't really beat an ork with the bolter... what it's left? nothing. we can argue that it's better to not complain and that the csm and lsm have the plasma believe boyz i feel the plasma is a weapon totally insane and hate it as much as you don't get me wrong i'm glad that you have fun boyz, but don't you want to have a challenge at equal weapon? because soo far the orkz in the game are too far from the orkz of the tabletop! here every ork are nobz... the ork don't need a nerf but a balance pass, too many stuff for them and no real down side... outside the missing of the melta equivalent. in all honesty, until they did this i will refuse the fight against the orkz.... call me coward, but i don't see the point to fight a battle against something that the dev did throws without take time to balance it seriously.
Ork weapons are too accurate? Zog dangit, someone must've given me a faulty slugga then. Many LSM players seem to me like those hipster kids who bought a smartphone and instead of celebrating the cool things it can do, they focus on the things they can't do. If you think orks are truly superior because of factional imbalance only, I suggest you play some more ork. ... because I can only assume you absolutely top the charts of every match you play as an ork, right? EDIT: Also, here's a secret: crafting loadouts according to what's happening. Our main tip in Da Lead Belchas once the patch rolled out was "guys, LSM got an armor buff, make sure you have anti armor weapons". That's not a balance issue, that's just playing accordingly to the changing meta. The main complaints I see is that Space Marines don't feel like Space Marines because they "die too quick when they're all wearing power armor". Alright. Let's make Space Marines WALKING FORTRESSES. But if we do that, let's reduce their running speed to reflect their insane armor. Deal?
do we talk of skill? we talk of balance from the weapon, i invite you to try the dakka against a tactics (even with full armor and such) and him bolter that gonna be a fun match. and i do play orkz painboyz do i top the chart, it will be arrogant to say yes, but i do fair well. often getting the top preserver or executionner. but that not the point. all i say is orkz are good in all, what is them downtime? less armor? when they can reach an amount of hp that will make a champion or nurggles jealous.... what a lot of boyz seems to forget it's we don't play nobz... but simple orkz... and here something is not right.
*starts laughing* He seroius? Accurate Ork weapons? *stops laughing* He must be joking...I hope so... Edit: Ok...becalmed myself. Ork weapons are far from accurate compared to other factions. I tried it myself. Tested every weapon from starting loadout compared to my fully recoil modded shoota. I was shocked. Eldar have zero recoil. LSM / CSM aren't far away from the Eldar one. My Ork gun...you know the Spraypattern of M4A1 in CS:GO? It's comparable.
Alright. Strip us from our stats entirely then, but let us have double the players in a match. More tabletop friendly now?
Now shoota is significantly less effective against tactical, someone would even say that it became useless even in cc. Daz why me chain choppin' dem umiez!
They are already slow when compared to the eldar and lets not forget that Orks also had an health boost of 20+ as well, and last patch the Orks were literal bullet sponges and beating pretty much everyone now the only difference is that they have slightly lower health and SMs have slightly better armour. Also Ork guns work very well up close and out DPS that bolter by quite a bit with their rate of fire and larger magazine. Also aren't the knuckles a tier better than the knife? if so just punch marines to death their knife breaks super easy.
Before a shoota kills a Tactical with his gun, the Tactical must be very close or he has absolutly no aiming.
