Any one else think orks are less fun to play now?

    So before patch

    i was loving orks, everything just felt right, the melee the shooting sure there are somethings to improve on but hey its in alpha so its not to bad right?

    Then the patch release and well....
    playing orks dosnt feel like im playing orks no more

    Feels like im a weak version of a space marine pretending to be an ork
    not only that the dbash somehow has gotten alot worse in the sense its literally 50/50 if it decides to stun them or not, not to mention every race can roll away from our dbash and cause our animation is so damned long they get a strike or two in before our animation is finished

    also while im *ahem* ranting, is it me or is everyone else light melee leap longer then our roll? like seriously i roll away and they just light attack and bam on me again i do the same and well they are miles away and im gunned down :/

    shooting well its shooting nothing really has changed i guess dunno i was always melee so i cant really say much on that

    but yea orks just aint no fun any more,

    not gonna give up on them though

    Nope. Orks are just as fun for me, on account of them being orks.

    Yes, rolling is pretty useless against many weapons, such as a power fist. In fact, rolling away from a power fist will leave you at the perfect distance for it to hit you straight in the face.

    Wind it in mate, we've received a ton of nerfs across a lot of weapons, some of which seemed to be underperforming anyway. This isn't just about the strong attack spam nerf.

    We need decent AV. Why the fuck does every other race get a fucking melta that shits on vehicles in 2 seconds and we get rokkits, klaw or lascannon equivalent that takes forever to kill the things?! Managing vehicles is key and we have by far the worst tools to do so.

    Either make meltas similar in their ttk vehicles to our weapons or do the opposite because at the moment it's a real mess.

    Yes, but know that this shit is over, we can hope that real orks faction's issues can be seen and fixed.

    First of all, orks needs a powersword equivalent, dunno if its fluff but still.

  6. I think the problem in essence is other things should have been fixed before the ork nerf , currently my night last night went :-

    Spawn - die to plasma spam

    Shoota - Ok got a jump on a marine he stands his ground and out shoots me eventhough I had a good 1/2 second of spraying him first. ( Shoota very weak place now)

    Spawned with the claw realised the jump attack has been nerfed to the extent its shorter than a normal charge attack , died because my only option is dbash (broken) or light attack , got mullered over and over .

    Died many times to power fist + jump pack combo . its insanely strong now & without claw to counter it its gg if you face one in melle , this chap was very well played but was literally dropping on your head and one hitting instantly with the power fist.

    Orks are supposed to have crapper weapons and gear but their strength is normally reduced LP cost of equipment and melle strength , I feel at the moment the good marine players are now insanely hard to kill and the noobs have been brought in line with veteran ork players .

    I'm de moralised but I came here to play an Ork because I love orks I`ll keep plodding along hoping that our gear gets better (more choices) (more anti vehicle this is the big issue) (more top tier melle weapons to counter the fist or fix claw animations)

    They gave us a powersword equivalent of sorts, the Electro Choppa.

    Then they nerfed it.

    Also anyone else thing the Dbash stun or just any stun (when it does actually hit) isnt very long for us either? or is that just for everyone?

    It ain't alpha. It's released.

    Orks got soft with the eazy kills. Happened back in winter when the MoN was a beast and they had to re-adjust their style.

    Did the devs go too far with the nerf. Yes. They always do. I don't understand how or why.

    The charge time for the strong hit for the elektro choppa is longer than the stun for the D-Bash. When the SM comes out of stun and fast attacks my strong hit. It's basically make D-Bash useless. So when a faster attacking Power Sword is clanging with a elektro choppa he fast attacks faster and lands hits. If you D-Bash you may be able to get one fast attack in before you lose the clang war. You just have to hope that some other SM doesn't come along and attack you from behind. If you are fighting a JPA he justs pops out then back in the RMB spam. Orks do not appear to have the power sword equivalentthat has both durability and speed.
