I'll most likely be playing as an apothecary both because I just like them, and because I like to play support roles. They also get the Hagen Pattern Narthecium which I love the look of.

Would the apothecaries become protected by the other classes to deny the other factions from collecting the bounty?

Possibly to an extent. I can't argue enough that Apothecaries are very capable in combat, essentially lesser fire powered Tactical Marines when it comes to combat. Either way, I always encourage exceptional teamwork.
