Nah they want to stay cozy in their freewin shed. 80% of Chaos players deny the fact tht they have OP class and blame everything onto SM, who have been doing their best to win with 0 chance. The actual situation is not in need of a patch, it is in need of a hotfix, this is what many people fail to understand. The game is unplayable for SM anymore, we just lose lose lose and lose (not even close games, just carnage) The devs think that this is situation is just a minor balance problem, well no. This is situation is caused by stupid and lazy "temporary fix" that reflects how much testing they did before applying the patch. All we can do now is wait, and we are going to wait for a long time at this rate...
No, many people learned how to play in Pegasus, ive seen that in my latest games in Pegasus. Pegasus is almost unwinnable for SM due to points being in closed areas and Chaos zerging with raptor and MoN killing everything in the room. This is how every game is going now in Pegasus.
true but, when it's the only effective counter, and it doesn't work, it tends to stand out and be that much MORE of an issue. D-bash not working on a tactical SM..hmm not much of a problem. D-bash not working on a power house, super melee soldier? HUGE problem. See my point? Yes its universally broken no one is arguing that, but there is a massive discrepancy in how much it affects certain classes.
No i dont since it affects all mellee classes(Raptors/Assaults and both GA classes) and not just MoN.Though it does need to be fixed.
Well when I am able to kill a raptor within seconds from my bolter, run, avoid, and dance around the GA like a joke, it just isn't as much of an issue to me. Compared to a nearly unstoppable MoN charging at me as a tactical, taking WAY to many shots to kill, even to the head and my combat knife..hmm not very effective. Now my ONLY real option, the d-bash not working it's just a free kill for Chaos. This is the thing that bothers me more than anything, people UNWILLING to admit facts. Look at the world map, LSM are down to FOUR outpost, yet people STILL want to hold this game back in this massive web of denial which is sad. Finally and again I didn't say it ONLY affects MoN, just that it is MOST PREVALENT with them. P.S if you seriously are unable to kill a GA with.. any class I would highly recommend keeping your distance, you have the OPTION to NEVER allow him to get close by running back, or if you are good at all, kite, dodge and whittle down the shield. I've found anytime a Chaos player feels he will lose against me as GA, when he RUNS away I can not catch up to him and I'm typically lead into a group of 3+ chaos which..doesn't end well. No range is such a large disadvantage that I'm beyond shocked that people are still struggling against them. I rely completely on the Chaos being ignorant to how to counter GA and that's how I get any of my kills. If I go up against a player that knows what to do I really have no chance but they seem to think going melee against a GA when THEY DON'T HAVE TO is smart..when it's not.
The problem is that at the moment there are a lot of issues with the game from DB not working as intended to no class having any sort of mitigation and ridiculus map design (Harkus ...i mean you can walk inside the fortress you dont really need the vindicator) ,to problems with weapons (hitscan)and im sure other things that i dont remember right now. Would a MoN nerf "balance' the game right now?Yes it could but it would have to be fixed again when some of the issues above are fixed so its a "wasted " effort.Though they could tweak the numbers from 230 to 200 or 190(as others have proposed in other threads).
That's what I am saying though, it's not a matter of being a solution BUT if they tweaked the HP a little better in the last hot fix, then at least this last week would have been more enjoyable with more people playing, and happy. Those are things I personally find important for any game and especially alpha. So many players are very unhappy with d-bash and MoN health right now and it is a problem. Not a huge problem but something I again believe should have been addressed in the hot fix. Either way the game will continue, development will continue etc. Yes its very frustrating being SM right now, yes the SM only have 4 outpost right now and are constantly losing, and losing moral/desire to play. It will all change, it will all get fixed it just sucks waiting so long for something so minor to actually be addressed, and even more frustrating is so many players refusing to admit its an issue. I get how you think it's a wasted effort, I really do and I'm not really disagreeing with it, BUT they did release a hot fix, in and of itself I would say the MoN health issue is NOT worth it's own tweak or fix but would it really have been that hard to just slightly drop the MoN health to bring a bit of balance and not destroy the will of LSM to even play the game? In the long run what's more important, driving out half your player base to not even want to play due to the fact they constantly lose, or put a tiny bit of effort in tweaking some numbers in a hot fix that's already being released? I personally believe the health of community is in general more important, ostracizing half of them and saying "deal with it" is a very bad attitude to have. If it was complicated I would say otherwise but it's literally dropping health by a percentage of a single mark. I get however in their minds it's not important enough to address, and yes in the grand scheme of this game it isn't. For the record I respect you, and your opinion and even for the most apart agree with you, we just have slightly different views on how this issue should have been handled.
