And in comes the question that we wonder when thinking about this. How could we go about doing this ? There's not much love for races outside of LSM/CSM as far as vocal players goes so what is it that the community of these groups could do to draw in others to their factions? Honestly I think bE could do a xeno stream with a few screens of models and talking more about the Orks/Eldar while also issuing a contest of sorts and there could be 3 prizes 1 of each founders pack *or upgrade pack of the winners choosing based on position*. The contest would be fan art and cosplay of the Orks/Eldar and they could go as far as a video of RPing those races. Honestly that would not only promote the xenos better it would also improve the morale of those founders who are only planning to play the xenos. I know in the founders lounge there's quiet a few people talking about refunds because there's been a complete lack of information on the xenos so I think doing something like a xeno only contest can do nothing but settle some of the unreset.
I agree with you there, the complete absence of anything relate to Orks and Eldar is not a good thing for the game. And as you said, a single stream where they showed us what they got and their future development and thoughts on the xenos, could greatly raise the morale the "xenos" community. Note: This probably belongs to another thread, so lets go back on topic? I too believe that letting AngryJoe stream is a good thing for the game. Free PR from a well known streamer is priceless (or free in this case ). I, for one, do not like AngryJoe all that much, mostly because he doesn't seem to look op any info on the games he play for the first time, leading to a lot of "blaming the game" instead of his own incompetence. This was especially clear in his Vermintide stream from the other day, were his team mate (can't remember his name) was the only one who sounded like he knew what he was doing. Though I did laugh quite a lot when they got their behinds handed by a Stormvermin Patrol or a lone Rat Ogre The next thing we will see is probably someone like PewDiePie streaming too
Totalbiscuit is a lot better than Joe in this, the man at least knows how to do research. Joe is just too unprofessional sometime.
Oh I do agree the stream is a good thing, but... some endorsements of non-Imperial factions could go a long way towards a better population balance. And if they all are like "hey my entire fanbase, LET'S ALL BE SPACE MARINES" could be less than a good thing. PewDiePie... seems like a good ork candidate...
Seeing PewDiePie running around as an ork might be rather entertaining (unless you are on his team) Totalbiscuit would be a nice candidate for a new "founder's access streamer". He his one of the few people I actually watch stream from time to time (I prefer to play the games myself), and as you said he seems to do a bit of research beforehand
Just like most of the regular players, I think that is his biggest advantage, that's why he's so popular and influential, he's just a reflexion of an average player - a people's man if you will .
