While I would enjoy watching members of our community streaming this game. I actually liked angry joe's stream, I find him generally funny and enjoyable to watch...could use less screaming...although to be completely honest at this point I'll take any footage of EC gameplay. And I watched it from the perspective of "okay he's a new player, how does he react.". Not one of the many people who have followed every single development update on these forums. Which was to me a good point to see things from. You can now see where some things will need to be explained better and in great detail to new players. Ect, ect. The thing that did annoy the hell out of me in that stream was Delrith I think his name was. I just wanted to reach through the screen and slap the living **** out of him. first half of his game play he's hiding in a tank and spawn camping, talking about it being a legitimate strategy and how great he is, when honestly its griefing and a douche move. Then when he's on foot he has an invisibility bug and doesnt even realize it, and then exploits it laughing at his great K/D ratio....It made watching the times he got killed very enjoyable. And made me want to get in the game that much quicker so I can just shoot him....alot....over and over....and over.
I haven't watched the twitch videos yet but I'm pretty sure now that it was the Delrith from AJs army that killed me over and over because of spawn camping. I enjoy Angry Joe videos a lot but I agree, that's a pretty douche move.I was thinking like: man seriously?Kinda low to do stuff like that.Especially if you're allowed to stream the game. It kinda shows the wrong aspect of the game.If you're spwan camp killing at points A,B,C and D that's beeing taken or defended,that might be a legit strategy but spawn killing at the very first spawning points IS a big douche move and has nothing to do with fair game.
I really hope I won't be on the same server as the main group of the "angry army". Encountered some on a few games and none of those encounters were pleasant. Especially on "Guns of Icarus" where one of the managed to get a moderator position and abuses new players and harasses people often, hardly play that game but anytime I have played in the last few months, that guy or other AJA guys are around, people have a bad time.
I hope so. From the comments I am seeing in this thread and not to bash on Joe too much but the guy CLEARLY does want to have a "good game". Beside IMO he never figured out how to play Risen 3 when all he had to do was DODGE big monster attacks. xD Best fail review from him ever.
Naah, i think Delrith was just doing what a beta tester is supposed to do: find umbalanced weapons or abusive exploits. In this case, he figured out that the spawn base layout promotes too easily spawn camping, and that's a way to point out for the devs things that need to be tweacked. Or may be he was a douchebag indeed.
I don't know what I am allowed to say or not so I'll avoid commenting on the actions of players in game at the current mechanics. However, what I will say is, I found the stream rather amusing. My opinion of the guy will remain mixed, because despite the fact my ears despise him, I myself do not. I agree, he should tone down the yelling and screaming, maybe for the sake of my ears and others. Or maybe I need to be less of a prude and turn down the volume heaps. *shrug*
Turn down the volume? Turn down the volume!?! NEVER! Not to steal the thread, but have you guys heard any info on whether there will be other streamers soon? Or if we could be allowed to stream under certain circumstances.
