    Man, this is a "MMO" shooter, not a MMORPG. What works fine in World of Warcraft and lookalikes wouldn't here.

    The marine sarge in dow2 has an ability with this name, its main effect is providing suppression immunity and some extra damage for a while when activated. If an tactical sergeant with an huge banner mounted atop his backpack ever gets implemented should be his ability.

    The loud noise or the flying bullets might not scared the space marine, still they do react to suppression. The idea of suppression is to fire as much bullets as you can toward your enemy, making it impossible for him to move or shoot correctly without the risk to take one.
    Even with their power armour, a space marine under suppressive fire and behind cover will think carefully before taking his shot or move, even the armour can withstand a few bullets, there is still the risk that he will take MUCH more bullets if he even try to move or fire. It's just common sense even for them to not stay in the way of a suppressive gun except if they got the gear (stormshield, iron halo...) to withstand it, they just think another way around to solve the problem.

    A very much this actually.

    LSM are losing a crapload of games, because players morale is very low, no one commands them and makes them push for objectives, and when someone finally do, they ignore him.

  6. The biggest reason I hate the idea of removing supression for only Space Marines is it would buff Stalker spam.

    You know, that and the rest of one and only one faction already in a good place mechanically, arguably a better place than everyone else.

    Totally, especially if the other factions doesn't get a comparable buff for asymetrical purpose. Yes space marines know no equal on 1vs1 of the same classification of soldiers in-universe, yet they still loose fights because their enemies got advantages they will never have. This game completly failed at doing that.

    It would also go against the game mechanics itself.

    You want to have "they shall know no fear"? Then stop being sore cowards and don't play mass devastators on assault maps as attackers, there, now you know no fear.

    Maybe fear could be an end of match effect for the losing team, like in tf2 where they get to chase down survivors and kill them for a few seconds, hehe

    But as an effect in active gameplay, no thanks.

    I dont see anything at all mechanic wise that represents this. The reduced stun penalty is a brilliant idea though.
