No actually, the Painboy does not have the new heal grenade Apoths got. Nevermind the fact that the Dok Bomb has a huge target saying "DESTROY THIS TO STOP HEALS" to the point that it can be destroyed by other Orks using melee attacks.
On top of that, good players are actually leveling other factions now, until there is more reason to actually stick to your main one. There isn't much reason to keep playing the same faction once you've unlocked everything, so playing others is a rational choice until map and campaigns actually do matter. Still, its hilariously surprising to see LSM vs Eldar pairing. There isn't really a sane explanation for that as LSM play as badly as they ever were and the buff had not THAT much of an impact(0 impact on melee and 1-2 shuriken shots don't really take long to shoot). But even if eldar mains played other factions, we'd see a decline vs orks and chaos, which is as steady as it was. I'm really curious about that. But that doesn't explain why other pairings remain equal while both orks and chaos are stronger AND have better player then LSM overall. It literally makes no sense for Eldar to lose exclusively to LSM, so there must be something more behind it.
My wolf priest seems to not have them either - due to bug or design... who knows you're sure that the painboys grenade can be destroyed by friendly melee? can anybody confirm that? but I have to emphasise the fact that you just need to throw a "normal" grenade at the apos healing grenades and they are gone as well... And still: the apos stuff is very stationary... every race has a AOE damage weapon... so destroy those "beacons" with these AOE weaponary then...
LSM needed a little something, but isn't it slightly worrying that they've turned the maps back in so quick a time? That implies something's up, or if they were balanced the map would have stayed more or less the same if the winning ratio was 50%. It's clearly more than that now, and maybe it will be more and more yellow as time progress...
Tbh I think it comes down to range weapon use. I think the LSM faction has finally started using more range weaponry which tends to work better against eldar than melee. Chaos still probably fields a higher percent of melee per game than LSM teams and atm eldar have some damn strong melee with banshees and warlocks.
80% of the melee player base on LSM are failed tactical, failing even worse at melee. you can spot them a mile off, spamming light or heavy attacks with no mix up, light attack and especially d-bash are your friends here depending on how the noob approaches you. the good players will give you a 2-3 minute melee battle unless assistance turns up...
The real problem with the game overall is that melee is way too overpowered. Its pretty much a bunch of mindless dolts spamming a key or holding waiting to spam. Something real needs to be done that gives the tactical versions of each race some balance to help balance the tango of melee v. ranged. Really the knives should be better, I find myself time and again defeated because my weapon lacks fortitude. The game continues to need balance, though I will say this minor add for space marines was nice, its still fairly unbalanced. I think some innovation on the melee system would really produce a more vibrant game. Also the map, we keep showing isn't from prime-time, its a Wednesday night, so not a well populated time.
I'm OK with ork melee right now, just switched to dead Shiny chain choppa and continued to butcher sm whineys as if no patch happened. But what really pisses me of is that melta ridiculous av damage. Sm/Csm are winning just because they have this advantage in anti vehicle, that allows them to destroy our spawn so quickly.
Well dude, not be an ass but i believe it's more because of melee than of any specif faction, that shit is so easy it ain't even funny.
