Over the past few days i got into the habit of just dropping out of the queue for Eldar fights and i don't regret making this decision.

But my question is how many of you are doing it? I asked this question on the community hub on steam as well and it seemed that most people were either all out refusing to fight Eldar like i am or only fight Eldar part of the time their playing, the other question is do you think that this is something that would get the devs attention on the matter? Do you feel like this sort of thing will become popular and drag out too long? What do you think will come of it over all and what are your feelings on it.

Please share your thoughts on it, Ave Imperator.

Honestly I've only ever fought the Eldar like...three times; their playerbase is so small that it seems like you're almost never put into a game against them, though I might be some weird exception there and some people might have had nothing but Eldar matches queue up for them.

Before the lastest patch i'll admit I skipped a match or two because my blood pressure was already high enough.
Nowadays though I laugh in their faces as puny alien hands grasp helplessly for their useless weapons, crushed beneath the relentless advance of the Emperor's angels of death.

Do you remember when these games were? Last night, September 30th, i actually joined into an Eldar game and it was only 8 on 8, i'm wondering at this point if it hasn't already become popular and has gotten a lot of Eldar players to switch factions.

    Everytime.
Eldar are simply not fun to play against because of the high volume of lame shit they bring.
They have the same armor and hp as a marine, yet are twice as agile and half the size.
That's not even accounting for the cheesy shit like flying, stealth, and instawin melee.
Of course,a good bit of their cheeseness could be due to shitty server performance/lag/hitreg.
But until eldar are properly squishy in comparison to a marine,i don't even waste my time with them.

Eldar should be fast/agile but comparatively fragile.
Space marines should be less fast/agile but tons more durable.
    Harkus likes this.

launch weekend was the two and then the other just on tuesday.

Eldar are a PITA to fight. Extremely frustrating, and puts a lie to the GG WP from them at the end of Harkus - though I appreciate the sportsmanship.

That said, I refuse to not play against them, especially if that's all that's going that evening. I want to play EC, and quitting matches just means I play Queue-For-EC instead. I spend my time learning how they fight, how to counter them, and generally getting practice with the maps and my weapon.

Why would anyone run away from them? They present such a challenge that's of great fun to kill.

It's a shame really, plenty of LSM/CSM players/clans have no issue fighting and winning. A basic level 1 marine who is not yet accustomed to the game's flow and mechanics will have trouble, that's for sure. A level 3-4 marine with Artificer armor and/or Iron Halo can wreck a lot of Fabulous Space Fairies, especially once you get your hands on a stormbolter or get accustomed to Bolt weapons in general.

I have a lot of fun against Eldars with my Apothecary, most warlocks & banshees are just fast-attack spammers: Dbash, roll back, stuff them with a bolter salvo on burst mode, get ready to block again: dead eldar.

I have to concede something however, playing marine, especially with a Bolter, is an absolute pain in the rear when the game decides to lag/destroy your framerates because Bolters need careful aiming. You guys are much more affected by external problems than we do.

I have also stated my opinion about the whole "collectively refusing to fight as a clan" in the other thread, it does not help people.

To give you an idea, a lot of people are now taunting Eldar teams when they win against them "how does it feel to be nerfed ?" or lose "still not nerfed enough !", that kind of thing, but they don't realize that nothing really changed. The Hawks lost their easy-mode but still ambush and melt people, Dark Reapers now have slightly less chance to OHKO people, and Scorpions now equip their DoT sword to make sure targets they slashed from stealth die. Big deal...

    The placebo effect is real.
