I got a character with about 25 million SP, but it was a character that almost never left the station. I just couldn't get into the game, no matter how hard I try. A shame really, considering that it's the ultimate sci-fi sandbox. Now I just enter the EVE-forums with hope of updates about CCPs coming World of Darkness-MMO.
It is a hard game indeed, I don't play EVE much neither but it's for historical moments like this that you play a game imo : )
The game is hard but that's not my problem with it. The problem I have with EVE is that the game is just so slow. Feels like everything from fitting a small pirate ship to be done with a fight takes forever. But sure, if you have the patience I'm absolute certain that the game will blow your mind away. And the fact that the game also has one of the best developers makes it even better. I did enjoy the game when I was out pirating. Once me and some others blew up a miners ship worth of 300mil or so I felt just as good as when I was 15 and lost my virginity. The fact that the miner spent 20 minutes in local chat and demanded compensation made it so much better....... Crap. Now you made me nostalgic. I almost want to resub again.
I like to think of Eve as 'Spreadsheets with lasers'. It can be interesting if you are involved with a big corporation but it's generally like 3 hours of flying around for 5 minutes of combat.
