An alternate solution to jump assault fists

Should the Power Fist limit gear choices for jump assaults?

  3. Make the Power Fist a ground melee only weapon.

    I've seen it mentioned plenty of times that the fist should be ground only. While I think that's a reasonable limitation I'd also like to suggest an alternative.

    Equipping the fist causes restrictions to the equipment that can be equipped, similar to the way that certain weapons of chaos can only be equipped when using the corresponding mark.

    Since I am at work I cannot get on to get exact equipments I am doing this off of memory. I'd say have the fist limit you to the 15% fuel regen item and bar access to the extra fuel packs. The trinket should be available regardless.

    I've said it before, so I'll say it again now, the PF just needs to be brought down to the PK's level and JPAs just need to be restricted on what they can do when they get stunned. Taking one of their toys away won't solve anything. It'll just make people switch to playing Shield Bros more often, because the weapon would still function the same otherwise.

    I can actually see this. If you have a Power Fist, your mobility is (somewhat) reduced. Doesn't sound too unreasonable.

    I'd simply remove the melee lock-on when a PF is equipped. There problem solved. The lunge they have is the problem for me not anything else. If they catch a camper with their fist then so be it they earned it.

    P fist is going to be slowed down to klaw speeds. The problem will be fixed at that point.

    Indeed, I made the previous thread about JPA's and the PFist, and even I now think that PFist can stay on JPA's. Especially with the upcoming loadout rework that will force JPA's and many other classes to specialize instead of having it all.

    So I want to see their future changes they plan to do now and go from there.

    Well I hope it helps divide new players up and encourage them to play other factions.
    Now when everyone says "JPA" they are referring to the Storm Boyz and the Raptors along with the LSM JPA, right?

    OK, cool...I don't want to hear LSM complain about it as if they are the only ones getting the nerf. I am not surprised that the powerFist is being adjusted, is the CSM PowerFist the same speed too?... I don't ever use it myself, but I have run into it a few times...heh.
