Ammo System

?

wich reload system do you prefer? (the two reload systems are explained below)

  1. bullet system

    27.8%
  2. clip system

    72.2%
  1. I wanted to know if the ammo system would be like in COD or planetside etc wich means you have x ammount of ammo left and you only reload the ammo missing in you're clip

or if it will be like in frontlines were you have a number of clips left and when you reload you loss all the ammunition left in you're old clip for the profit of a new clip (when you reload you loss a clip either it is for 1 bullet or a whole clip)

A magazine system would give reason to stop habitual reloading after one shot and would get people into the thought process of being conservative with resources.

    I prefer magazine loading myself.
  4. Doesn't the Hevy Bolter use a ammo belt that when is depleted has to be changed, and Eldar, I don't know if they use ammo clips but prove me if I'm wrong.

I would prefer the magazine loading system. Though in Operation Flashpoint (the predecessor of Armed Assault games, not the younger stuff) style: When reload, use a new clip, but you won't ditch the old one. For example you have a bolter with two magazine, Both filled with 40 ammo. You fire 15 rounds, and reloading. After you finished your fresh 40 mag, you reload the remaining one with the remaining 25 bullets.

For Heavy Bolters, or Assault Cannons, I would not let the gunner reload until the belt is empty. Though i don't know what rules apply for those by lore, if any. In case, i would stick with those.

  6. doesnt devastators feed their weapon from his backpack so that they never have to reload?

i would like the clipssytem but all can combine half empty clips so they dont run around with 4 halfempty clips all the time (this would take some time for sure, like 3-5 secs? maybe with a minigame like in gears of war)

and heavy classes should just have 1 endless ammobelt until all bullets are gone

What you're describing is definatly a bullet system.
  8. na its a combination
after a fight you survived what shall stop you from filling the clips up with other half empty clips if you have the time to do that?
maybe i point the duration to low maybe something like 7-10 secs so you cant do it midbattle

but i really see no reason why i should run around with half empty clips if any soldier knows how to refill them

I don't see how thats like Gears of war.
  10. ah ok sry
in gears of war there is a minigame when you reload you know? you have to press the button at the right time to get a fast reload
it could work the same here
that was what i mean ^^
