"I must say... Madam you have quite a impressive armory and a impressive choosing of weapo-'" as she heard the word duck and the saw the under barrel of the bolter starting to glow purple her mind already began working out what it meant and what to do quickly throwing herself to her side she got down landing on her elbow. "So may I ask what your name is?" Olna asked looking up to the weapon smith now.

"A FIGHT!" He shouted with uncanny excitement, grabbing the shotels quickly in the proper fighting way and aiming to not kill or wound the craft-woman, but instead to dig the ends of the massive curved blades into the side of the weapon and slam it right out of her hands.

  3. Thaes didn't immediately answer the man right away, his mind more busy analyzing what he was seeing than to answer the thuggish behaviour he all too use to thanks to his time on DreadHaven. By the Omnissiah, the only reason he was even offended at all was due to the condition of the plasma weapon at the man's side. While his profession dealt with the machinations of the flesh, he was still a Tech Priest after all. But the curiosity of whatever 'enhancements' these men went through outweighed all that for now. It must be physical focussed at the cost of affecting their minds if their frantic micromovements were any indication, to the point of making them highly aggressive as well. There were dozens of compounds and concoctions that Thaes could name off that were traded regularly, making thugs into effective if blunt 'attack dogs'. Although the visible dark coloration that pulsed in the veins were an interesting side effect though, a sign of something unique. Perhaps Savoy will be willing to answer later, for now he had his own errand.

"No, I know exactly were I am. I came here to have a message relayed to an associate on the station this vessel is currently docked at." He explained clearly, not cowed by the obvious intimidation. "And a word of advice young man, you should have that firearm cleaned and maintained, it's more likely suffer a catrostropic failure in its capacitors and take your arm with it if not your life instead of firing off as it should." He warned him as he nudged his axe at the pistols direction. Might as well give that warning before the thugs decide to so something stupid, which seemed inevitable.

    <Libertaé - Navigator's Quarters>

Checking and re-checking upon his gauntlet at the time, Issane realized something is amiss with Lord Alfredo, this amount of tardiness not being characteristic of the venerable Navigator. They translated into Materium some time ago after all.

Departing from the crystalflex lounge platform and its inviting starry backdrop, Issane decided to invade the privacy of Navigator's sanctum, daring to probe for answers.

On the precipice to the awfully unhygienic room, a far cry from what one could imagine a Navigator's chamber to be, Issane stepped inside, braving the uneven ground between garbage and mounds of cloth, as well as scrutiny of native rodents.

"It's me Lord Alfredo." assassin responded in his metronome voice, wondering where could his servants have went to, leaving the Navigator into such a state.
Waiting a moment for his one natural eye to acclimatize to the lack of sufficient light in the chamber, Issane crouched next to the bed, his eyes downcast, lest Alfredo's tardiness costs him his life by meeting an un-shielded third eye.

He presumed that whatever was that affected the downtrodden Navigator, it showed signs upon his mind and by extension, Alfredo's somatosensory system - his sense of touch. Usually such things were of personal nature, a meaningless trivia in the informational tapestry of Libertaé's crew. However, Alfredo Belmonte di Pietro Achelieux is a high-value asset, critical to the mobility of this starship and by extension Issane's responsibility.

"Forgive me for my tardiness. I am sorrowful that Nova Terra material did not satisfy as a substitute. Is there no favorable replacement, something more...obtainable?" assassin asked hopefully as he stood up, one hand rummaging within the plastic bag he lugged around across half a ship.

"Perhaps we can come to an agreement while we dine, followed by a game of regicide? I've got us a new set and officer's cafeteria palette should be more pleasing now as we have refreshed our stock."

Raska Pale tried to keep a straight face but soon broke into an honest, and perhaps somewhat rude chuckle with a snort at the Rogue Trader's words. She was savvy enough to catch the exchange about her predecessor being caught by the fey corsairs, but no good pirate ever believed in their own mortality or let themselves be discouraged by such silly things as fear of aliens! If they struck - just kill them! To Pale, it was that easy!

No, she was laughing about something else. "Surgical procedure! Pure, dead brilliant. You must've thought I was flirting or something - I'm Cadian! Didn't cost nothing but nine months of light duty! Guess we're fashionable in places, then. Never heard that reaction before." Try as she might, she couldn't quite recover soonish. The pirate surgeon covered her mouth with her free fist, getting a little red in the face. "Like I said, this healthy hide doesn't... this healthy... Oh by the Throne, surgical procedure! ...anyway, I didn't get this pale by not being on a void ship before. You can trust that I can fix people, and put holes in them, too." She reached out for the slate, still silently giggling. "Can I know your name, though? I'll be making myself comfy once I do."

The trip went relatively uneventful, the pair of them taking another shuttle and Nikolas leading the newcomer through winding corridors of their ship until they arrived to an unmarked door that led into the brig. Urging the stranger inside, Teng pushes him into one of the open cells:
"That will be your apartment for the time being, if the boss likes what you tell him then he'll move you someplace nicer. But for now, sit still and don't try to pull any tricks on me".

To say the least, the Interrogator wasn't all that happy about his new so-called 'apartment', a cell. Being pushed into a cell didn't stop him from simply side stepping before turning and ending right up in the Arbites' face before he could shut the cell door on him.

"You think you can imprison me just as easily as that? I'm here to give your boss a business opportunity, you're just a pawn standing in my way and this ends in one of two ways."

The Interrogator was serious, a stern face accompanied by a hand underneath his trenchcoat, likely grabbing for something.

Strahn nodded eagerly along to the Spryer's words. "Oh, yes! Yes, yes, I'd love to give your machines greater scrutiny, if you would be so very kind to allow me!" she chirped in answer, quite joyful at the generous offer. The compliment saw her pull at her skirts in feigned bashfulness. "Oh, these? Well, they are no more for holding dresses than your machines are for mining, but they are oh-so-helpful to that end! Do let me know where you are quartered?" she almost pleaded, then turned her attention to Savoy again as he requested her name. "Who, me? Oh! Yes, I am Strahn! Strahn, that is my name," she said, as she dipped into yet another curtsy to the Rogue Trader. "Thank you so very much, Captain, I will not disappoint you!" she vowed, but she was distracted from her deference as the other woman that had joined them, the apparent doctor, broke into a fit of giggles. A soft, lilting laugh came from the heretek.

OOC this is happening somewhat before the Armory stuff, while Mal's char Helana is still present :)

Rogue Trader rose an eyebrow at Raska's words, not looking all that happy that he made a fool of himself. "Ah, I guess we all learn something each day we're alive," he said with a sigh and came out honest, not wanting to damn himself further. "I've never seen a Cadian in my life before today, but I know who they - you are. I honor your sacrifice and whatever the reasons are which have brought you here to my doorstep are yours, I don't care. You however, I would be happy to have as a part of my crew."

"You can call me William Savoy. My forefathers were the ones who mapped most of this Segmentum Pacificus in the first place. It is up to me to continue the tradition and up to all of you to help me write our names in the annals of Imperial history. And get what we're due in the process."

"As for you Lady Strahn," Will said after turning towards the heretek, "I'm still not sure what you do exactly but I'm sure we'll find something for you. If nothing, your manners and posture could even make you a diplomat of some kind and if the stories are true and we find hidden worlds beyond the frontier, those that don't need to feel the might of our guns will definitely feel the softness of your touch."

Big man looked somewhat dumbstruck by Thaes's reply but quickly regained his bearings. He squared off against the Tech Priest and while some of the brutes behind him tried to make a move forward and surround the Genetor, their leader waved them back. "The last person who told me what to do got his head chopped off. Do well to remember that cog boy."

"Haven't seen you around before? You one of Savoy's new lackeys? I guess having that bitch controlling the Armory and Enginarium wasn't enough so he's getting more help, eh?"

"Ahh...Issane. It's you Issane, thank the Emperor it's you. I thought it was the damned savant, the last thing I need is hearing more of his gibberish," Alfredo replied, the pile of rags he was beneath moved to reveal a frail old man dressed in simplest of robes, while (thankfully) his third eye was wrapped by a dirty patch with the symbol of his house painted in the center.

"We can talk, somewhere outside of here...Get me my staff," he ordered, despite his current looks the old Navigator still had some strength in him, it returning to his voice at first, a voice that was hard and used to ordering around. The staff in question was laying next to the bed, close to where the assassin was, a simple wooden stick with the Imperial Aquilla on top of it.

"Yes...I would like to play some regicide before we depart, young Will said we won't stay here for too long...Where is he? What is he doing? Is he alright?" Master Achelieux asked, a dose of fear entering his tone now which was all too easy for the assassin to spot.

Unfortunately for Husam, the boltgun was a bit faster than his own strike. He saw the girl grinning right before his shotels came down, only to be momentarily blinded by the purple blast that came next. He felt something akin to a large domestic animal of his world kicking him in the chest and the next thing he knew, he was flying over Olna, who managed to get out of the way - at least initially, and hit straight into far away wall, right next to the entrance where Helana just showed up on her trip to find her working space (and a place to stay, given the fact that next to the Armory itself one could find dozen of empty rooms with workbenches and additional cogitators which were used by Armory's personnel long time ago when Libertaé operated in full capacity).

"Damn, I need to adjust this crap a bit better," the girl said, not looking too happy that Husam's flight sent him through a rack of lasguns, which all fell onto the ground and into Olna, burying her a bit. "Sorry, my bad," she said as she helped the Sun Slayer get back on her feet. "Name's Caroline by the way. Thanks for the compliments, I do my best to keep this old boat floating but it's hard sometimes, you know?"

"Also, I had to test Little Puncher over here and you kinda walked right into it," she told all of them but her eyes were on Husam, a genuinely apologetic look written all over her face. "No harm done?"

Strahn blinked at the Rogue Trader as she once more rose from her curtsy. "Oh! How silly of me! I am learned in the arts of the Omnissiah!" she explained delicately. "My calling is the preservation and understanding of technologies! In fact, I was assigned to the Imperial Navy Viceroy, a Dauntless light cruiser, prior to my... being stranded here," she went on, though her words dragged out by the end. "And I served her needs well. But if you truly find me so pleasing that you would employ me elsewise, I am, of course, at your complete disposal," she vowed, clutching the data-slate offered to her chest.
