All of the races have air capable craft, will we see much dog fighting or strafing runs? Will we have designated Pilots?

Personally id like to fly a combat drop in a thunderhawk

I don't think we've heard much about Air combat thus far.

Feel free to ask in the MMORPG Q&A Scheduled for tomorrow. Personally I agree though I'd love to fly a thunderhawk.

I feel like air combat would be a great inclusion, adding much to any battlefield, as long as it isn't entirely a separate package.

Im imagining it a bit like star wars battlefront 2, the space combat intermingled with atmospheric combat

It would be nice but It might be too much to ask for

I'm not going to argue that it'd be awesome, but lets see what the capability of the developers is at and ask them tomorrow ;p

You'll probably see it in a later expansion or content patch if it's something that is out of scope for release.
