Hey ppl, Ill go straight to the point -> from a competetive players perspective something is seriously wrong with aiming down the sights atm. I havent seen this problem in any other similiar game (like The Division, Space Marine, Gears etc.) Basicly in many cases while ctrl aiming with Bolters/Stalker/Heavy etc. my crosshair stops on obstacles/ledges/stairs etc. From what I understand when aiming down the sight's weapon should be "leveled" with my vision, so if I see someone's head while aiming (in competetive shooter) I should be able to hit it... but atm game imho acts like weapon is still at my hip. I understand that this mechanic is a placeholder ? Cheer's
its because the aiming is done from like the middle of your character instead of being raised to head view when your aiming, i think they are fiddling with it atm
you hope its a placeholder the devs say the aim still stays at the 3rd person camera level even when your scoped, and that the weapon still shoots like youve got it at hip level then at shoulder and that supposedly changing that is a bigger headache then we think it is
There remains a small dot in the center of the screen - that is where you want to aim. The crosshairs move down on the obstacle in front of you - that is where your shots will land because the weapon does not fire from the center if the player's vision. It's supposed to let you know when you'd be firing into the obstacle and not hitting your target. Apart from this there is also apparently a related bug in the game - they know of it.
Yup, its ok, I understand why dev's did that and why U got basicly 2 crosshairs... but imho this is a little lazy walkaround of a real problem-> best example is Stalker Bolter (because of the scope). I should hit things I aim at ...but usually i hit the cover I hide behind or (If the enemy is above me) the ledge. Gets frustrating quite fast. Maybe I try to hide a little to much and dont overextend myself, but thats how I play cover shooter's.
everyone hates it, in the scheme of things its not their highest priority id think but i do hope they change it somewhere down the track
