With the Eagle eyes trait letting her pick out the various shady character moving in the night, Ternix had a idea on how to start getting some information. So she said to Aosidhe (@Casavay ) and Drax (@lord-watchman ) "Perhaps you two might wanna start asking a few questions in the tavern then go and check out the old house? Cause I'm gonna ask the local shifty characters a few questions..." With that said, Ternix/Alicia then walked off into the night and started hunting for one of the shifty-looking people so that she could ask a few questions.... and if they needed an incentive to make them talk, well a few punches might make them more receptive to her questions. And make them give straighter answers.
< @Maleth > With her Temporalis powers, especially the speed of her Flight Armor, Ternix had no trouble grabbing one of the figures and slamming his back against the wall. He struggled but his legs were off the ground. As he looked at the helmeted face of his attacker, his face blanched, blue eyes going wide and brown hair peeking out from under the hood of a cloak. "A...demon..." he whispers, his body beginning to shake as held the wrist of the hand that held his shirt, sweat beading on his face.
"Well, I can be nice to you or I could rend you limb from limb.... Perhaps you can tell me if anything out of the.... ordinary has been going on, Mortal, I might be more.... Inclined to let you live." With the man assuming her to be a demon, Ternix decided to play along and that would hopefully both give her information and keep him quiet, which would be quite helpful in getting this mission done with a minimum of fuss.
drax walked up to the tavern entrance her sheild slung over her back and her sword in its scabbord at her side, taking in the area around her as she walked "il take the tavern then" as she walked she shouted to the remaining two that had not moved yet
Using her plain staff as a walking stick of sorts, Aosidhe walked over to the old house and knocked on the door, unsure of what to expect but already optimistic it would yield results.
< @Maleth > The boy, couldn't be more than 14, shuddered in his boots. "I-I don't... I'm just out here because the curfew ruins the night for me! I was just going to my girl's house!" he cries softly, his eyes looking down the street to the right, the direction he was heading before Ternix waylaid him. < @lord-watchman > As the steel-clad warrior walks into the tavern, the place is rather empty. The sole other figure is the bartender, a big man with short blonde hair and dark green eyes, who is cleaning a mug with a rag. "Hail!" He calls, "Come in, sit, have a drink!" < @Casavay > The door slowly creaks open, and the smell of death wafts strongly into her nose. Just inside the door, she could see a steel-plated figured laying in a pool of fresh blood. Whoever he was, he had just been killed recently.
"i am after information, if you have the time" as she spoke she gestured to the room around them "and a drink"
Slowly, the healer approached the corpse, and knelt next to it, examining the body for any traces of violence or other means to shorten the human lifespan.
Ternix's train of thought from that revelation could be described as 'Well, damn' given that instead of someone shifty she'd manage to jump a lover going to meet his significant other, so it was safe to say she was somewhat embarrassed by that misfortune. However, the mention of a curfew could be her way out of an awkward situation... Especially if on the off-chance the Temporals were high up the social ladder, and so wanted to prevent being exposed by keeping people indoors at night. So Ternix said to the boy, in her usual voice which was a mixture of being both seductive and threating "Hmmm..... the curfew you mentioned, how long has it been enforced and if it's quite recent, who put it into place?" She hoped that she didn't make anymore social waves than necessary by asking that question, but it had to be asked.
< @lord-watchman > "Information and drinks are my job!" He laughs as he brings two mugs of ale to a table and sits, waiting for Luca to sit as well. When she did, he would take a swig of his drink. "So, what do you need to know?" < @Casavay > As she turns the corpse over, there are three huge gashes through his chest, a faint black mist still hovering off the wound, the mark of a temporal attack. There was a note crushed in his hand. If Aosidhe decided to look at the note, it would read... Spoiler: Note "I know you are searching for the missing prince. Come to the abandoned house at midnight. I have information that you need." The note itself also radiated the black mist... the Temporals were obviously at work here < @Maleth > The boy looks at her a bit oddly, but still worried about losing his soul, he answers her. "The mayor... he put it in a few months ago because of the influx of beasts... I know it's likely to keep us safe... but I just want to go see Rita. Please don't take my soul..."
