Once Judarius received SIR LAW-98's acknowledgement, he leveled his plasma gun at the nearest section of the drop ship's hull. He chose a section that appeared weak enough to penetrate with a quick burst. Unlike Melta weapons, plasma armaments were designed to eliminate heavy infantry not vehicles. That said, a proper plasma canon would make short work of breaching the hull. With only a normal, man portable, variant at his disposal, it would simply take a little longer.

He aimed his shot carefully, as to avoid hitting his own Protectors. The weapon pulsed in his hands and it made an audible whine as it charged up to full power. Just as the heating coil was about to reach the point of over heating, he fired, sending a shimmering bolt of energy which collided with the tainted hull in a shower of angry sparks. A hole roughly a foot in diameter was left behind, it's edges red-hot He loosed several more shots, expanding the breach until it was large enough to accommodate even the largest among them.

He lowered his weapon, satisfied for now with his handy work. He discharged the spent energy pack and slammed home a fresh one. He'd let it cool for a few moments before trying to fire it again, lest it overheat and explode. Though the weapon was of Martian design and materials, it was not so infallible as to be pushed beyond it's limits. Despite the danger however, he'd never use any other weapon. While las-weapons or bolters had superior ammo capacity, there was something to be said about the satisfaction of disintegrating your opponent.

Nothing could withstand a plasma bolt. Well, nothing born of the Materium at least.

With a breach opened, Judarius' trio of Protectors rushed forwards to secure the entrance. After a few moments, they voxed back that the breach was secure. For the moment at least, as he didn't assume that the breach would go unnoticed for long.

[We have breached the hull. The entrance is secure] he voxed to the others. [Brother Brecher. Secutor Kaddrak. You are free to move out. Knight-Scion Auldwin and I will follow]

[98, Phaeton. . . we are proceeding inside. We will wait for you inside the breech] he voxed to the Rangers Alphas. He wasn't sure if Dragoon Daygar would join them or wait outside, as his mount would not fit through the gap. They might be able to open one of the loading ramps, but Judarius was uncertain if the hydraulics would still be functional.

None the less, he steeled himself for the trial to come. It would likely get very difficult from this point onward. Only the Omnissiah knew what horrors awaited them . . .

As the Magos entered the ship through the hole they had made they would notice the inside of the ship itself was relatively free of the smoke that blocked out the setting sun outside of the crater. Though a faint smell lingered they could at least see without the need for special augmentations. However any relief felt by them was immediately shattered when they looked upon the floor which as covered in blood and gore of all kinds unimaginable to those who did not know of the taint of chaos. The pool of blood came up to the ankles and seemed to cover the entirety of the hallway with more blood dripping from the grated ceiling. Those who could manage to stomach the sight of entrails and limbs floating in the pool would notice they had cut into a maintenance corridor with two ways go either left or right. The signs that indicated where each of these ways lead had either been scratched away to the point of illegibility or seemed to be written in a strange tongue none of them could understand even the magos with all his knowledge would be baffled.

It was then the motion sensors started to come back to life and the distant sound of metal upon metal clanking could be heard. The sensor tracked 11 hostiles of about average Human size coming in their direction fast. It was then they heard a shriek of inhuman proportions and the clanking was getting louder and closer and appeared to be coming from both directions.

(All NCPs have turned on their headlights for limited visibility in the powerless ship and something is coming for you. Have fun :D)
  3. The illumination provided by his mechanicum allies showed possibly the most grotesque scene the knight had the misfortune to bear witness too. The interior of the vessel was a lake of blood and gore the likes he had never seen, even after the purging of the numerous tyranids were thousands of carcasses were strewn about in the aftermath. He could barely make out pieces of what used to be people in the crimson mire. The blood lapped gently against the leather of his military boots after stepping in behind the magos. With the signs scrawled with symbols that only disgusted him further, he was about to pose a question to the magos on which direction they were to take when what he could only describe as the sound of the damn screaming all around them. "Stand fast! Brace back to back so whatever vile fiends that come cannot flank us." He advised as he raised and aimed his bolt pistol down one of the corridors, ready to open fire on the first thing he could see.

Judarius scuttled through the rapidly cooling breach he had immediately noticed his legs were sloshing through something. He knew at once it was not water, as they were to far forward in the superstructure to be near the cargo area. Switching off his Thermal optics, he once more viewed the world with his standard lenses. Looking down, he noticed the deck was awash with an ankle deep pool of crimson and other chunks. How typical.

He was more then glad he no longer had an olfactory system, as he could only image what putrid odor permeated the area. For a moment, he wondered if this fluid was the remains of the biological crew, but he doubted it very much.

Looking away from the deck, he observed the crude graffiti on the bulkheads. The typical assortment of madmen gibbering and crude exaltation to the arch-enemy's daemonic masters. He was glad he could not read them. It was time to make a report anyways.

[98. Phaeton. We have entered the ship. It appears the corridor is secure for . . .wait . . .] Judarius trail off, as his auspex started going off. Ahead of them, and behind them, numerous enemy contacts were flooding down the corridor from both directs. Around eleven or so . . . then he heard the cry . . .

It was neither human or mechanical. No, something far worse. Warp-Spawn? Daemon-Engine? Omnissiah only knew.

[Correction to my last statement] Judarius voxed hurriedly. [We are surrounded. More of what I can only assume are those abominable constructs. As well as something far worse. Two things that are far worse to be precise. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated] @TechCaptain @Keidivh

With that, Judarius stabilized his position and leveled his weapon towards the ongoing enemy constructs that were charging down the western side of the corridor. Behind him, Sir Alduwin was facing down the eastern corridor. Two of his protectors were standing ahead of him. to either side of the corridor. The other one was behind him, standing to the right of Sir Alduwin. Engineseer Brecher and Secutor Kaddrak were still outside.

[Brecher. Kaddrak. Find your locomotive actuators and assist us now!] Judarius commanded forcefully via the Noosphere. @Grall_Stonefist @Nurianis

He had no intention of being torn apart by these abominations. Not while help was close at hand.

[Knight-Scion Alduwin. Engage as you see fit] Judarius exclaimed, taking aim at the nearest construct that was lumbering towards him. He was thankful that the corridor was only so wide as to accommodate two or three of them to march abreast at once.

His plasma gun whined as it charged, before Judarius pressed the trigger and sent a bolt of super-heated plasma hurtling down the corridor. For a brief moment, it illuminated the entire passageway with the light of a small star, before slamming into the center of the mass of constructs.

Seeing nothing had poured out of the breach and the magos and the rest were moving in, Phaeton and his Rangers quickly worked their way down the crater and inside the wreck of the. "Kill Team Hunter is here, squad formation Iron Wall."

With surprising speed the Rangers moved forward, ensuring they were ahead of the Magos and made a staggered formation, with Phaeton and Burt in front, the nameless in the middle, and Vela taking up the rear. "Exterminate with extreme prejudice. None pass this line."

With that Hunters awaited their prey to enter the kill zone, ready to lay down a vicious stream of fire on any who dared who down the corridor.

Plasma fire always had a distinct sound, Lukas thought as the Magos blew a hole in the side of the ship. With the breach made Lukas waited until the others had piled in to the breach and then turned and followed them in. The smell was bearable for him, his rebreather filtered out the worst of the smell, but had to work at full power to do so, but it was the sight that took Lukas’ breath away. The gore, entrails and the scrawls was clearly the work of heretics, heretics who would feel the righteous wrath of the Omnissiah and his blessed servants.

Moving into the wreck, Lukas raised his Laspistol along the same corridor as Alduwin. Aiming into the darkness with a steady hand, Lukas quietly chanted the rites of activation for his laspistol as he prepared himself for the oncoming horrors. Let them come, he thought, the Omnissiah is with us we shall not fail.

[Crash site #2: The abominations in the dark]
The scratching and clanking grew ever louder as another screech was heard this time it was almost deafening. In a strange mixture of darkness and dim light one of the assailants was brought into view as it scurried above the group's heads handing onto the grate that made up the ceiling. At first glance it appeared to be a small Arco-flagellant of all things with nearly no skin and the majority of it's limbs replaced by some kind of bionic limb that served more as a weapon more than anything else. However further analysis was denied as it moved at almost lighting speed to the other end of the hallway. It was then It's larger brethren were noticed thundering down the hallway releasing roars that would have made a guardsman turn and run even if a commissar was behind them.

There were four of them all also resembling Arco-flagellants but these were massive about the size of astartese and also heavily mutated possessing a number of twisted and dangerous limbs other than the two mechanical ones. Each of them had a hood over their faces with the mark of the Dark Mechanicus burned onto the front. These creatures charged without second thought at the sight of the Maniple dispite the rangers under Phaeton's best efforts the could not take the beasts out as shots either only grazed them or simply did nothing to stop their animalistic rage. The four quickly smashed into the so called iron wall easily slamming the two rangers in the front of the formation into the wall. But they were stopped when the nameless managed to put a few rounds into the lead beasts's legs causing it to fall and block the other three's path for a short amount of time. It was then the Magos took his shot but unfortunately missed do his mechanical legs slipping in the ankle deep pool of blood and entrails. All his shot managed to do was create a hole in the ceiling that leaked even more blood into the hallway causing the levels in the pool to slowly start to rise and start to flow out of the hole he had made earlier.

On the other side of the hall way things were not quiet either as the sounds of scurrying and metal upon metal were heard. Out of the darkness a creature similar in size to the first abomination they saw humped onto one of the Mago's protectors that was paying attention to the larger beasts coming fro the other side and immediately started to constrict him with the mixture of mutated tentacles and spiked mechadantrites the made up the bottom of it's torso where it's legs should have been. Seven more creatures of similar design came screaming through the hallway grabbing at anything that they could to bring the closer to the men of the mechanicus. These creatures were nothing like the constructs they encountered before in fact something about the ship itself seemed very wrong. One thing was for certain whatever was going on in there needed to be stopped and these abominations needed to be destroyed.

Daygar grinned beneath his helmet and activated his search light illuminating the corridor infront of him further and he leveled his lance at an undamaged large abomination and charged with a battle cry of "FOR THE OMNISSIAH!" his strider having no trouble with the gore . Almost akin to sydon itself

Hearing the sound of something dropping from the ceiling nearby, Lukas quickly grabbed his laspistol with one of his mechadendrites; while the mechadendrite holstered the pistol Lukas swung his power axe full force with both of his true hands towards whatever had grabbed the protector.

The power field of the axe crackle and hiss into life as soon as both of Lukas’ hands had made contact with the haft. This was no wild swipe of a panicked guardsman, this was a carefully calculated strike of a servant of the Omnissiah, Lukas had calculated his attack to strike the central mass of the creature and pulp it against a far wall.
  10. With the enginseer aiding the protector unit belonging to the Magos, Alduwin aimed and fired a trio of bolt rounds at the smaller abominable creations that came at them on their little tendrils. So this is what he would face in the coming battles against these traitorous wretches? Something told the Knight that facing the Carnifexes of the hivefleet will be nothing like fighting the tainted warmachines of the Dark mechanicum.
