I think GW retconned them into a non astartes organization or something. They had a weird description on the wiki.
The -11 stages of fangrief. Wait, no, it looks like they're still canon, as far as I can see: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=M...firefox-b&gfe_rd=cr&ei=kMxNV9GCDseN8Qf6yrKYBg
They exist but I think they have been turned into something other than a SM chapter. I don't know if they still retain SM traits or are just a really militant scholar group. PS prepare thine anus if you turn in a late term paper to them.
Like i said not very reliable. It was wiki or lexicanum i forget which one. Plus they had some fan comments on 4chan (again not the most reliable) that led me to that conclusion. I'm probably 100%wrong as I am by no means a wh40k expert. Edit: Oi ou youz callin a loyalist!? Does I look like a humie to you!?
All fear the new orky IG regime. If you thought the old IG was zergy just you wait and see. Honestly if IG and orks combined forces every other faction would get ground into dust in nothing flat. And that includes nids.
Trust me brother,,, That topic has shown up over the last 2 years on a regular,,, All we can do at this time is honor our father chapter and pray extra hard to the Emperor that we get to fly our own colours soon...
I dunno about the nids... the sheer amount of biomass produced from that kind of war would help the nids significantly and their ability to adapt is impressive. Just look at the Octarius sector.... that's a full blown war between a Ork WAAGH and a Nid tendril, and neither side shows signs of losing ground... rather both sides are just getting stronger. I will admit the fire power of IG is impressive and would certainly push the nids to the brink... but that hive mind has shown time and again to push back. To add salt to the wound we actually don't know how many other hive fleets exist beyond the void, all we know is that based upon where the different tendrils have breached the galaxy, many nearby galaxies have been destroyed by them. I would say it would be a very very long war of attrition, and the longer it gets the more risk of other tendrils breaching into the known galaxy from other sectors. I think Orks could handle the war and its losses but not IG. Getting on topic though lol I hope they offer the same customization as the dawn of war series, where we could select from a wide range of chapters, craftworlds, legions and ork bands. I think that would be the best tip of the hat EC could do for the fan base. I don't personally have a favorite 1st founding chapter, I like playing chapters who have unknown origins like the Red Scorpions, Minotaurs and Charcarodons, so seeing these chapters and others similar to them would be sweet! Not going to lie... I also would really like to see "renegade" chapters like the Knights of Blood or Astral Claws be brought into the game and make their colour schemes available for both the Loyalist and Chaos forces!
