Some teamplay gets no or less XP but they help winnig the game, here my ideas to fix it a bit. Transports: Give those who drive/call a transport spawn xp for everyone who spawned at there vehicle. Lets say 10 XP per Spawn. 3 XP for every resupply at your Vehicle. (beside that, make it possible to switch loadouts at transports) Defence: Defence gets not rewarded like attack here i would change the XP gain. 15 XP for defending (17 XP Teamdeffing) as it is now, but also while killing enemies in the defence area you should get 15 XP extra bonus for defkills same for transports standing in defence range which get destroyed, 30 XP def bonus for destroying a transport or tank. Healing/debuffing: The area healing needs to get rewarded maybe not so much but 1 XP per 10% live healed and the revive with the fields should count as revive for the healer 30XP. debuffing should also be count as assist, otherwise none wants to debuff because shooting at the target gets more XP. Or make it a debuff assist 30 XP. Maybe you have also some actions which needed rewarded post your stuff here so the dev may take some ideas from the community.
AoE heal exp fix is coming within a month I believe. I'm all for actual incentive to defend(1 kill per minute>>def exp, therefore no reason to def, unless the point is actually being contested). Driver transport spawn exp is no brainer. Which leaves only debuffs not rewarding you with assists, however bE said they should too, so probably fix around the same time as AoE healing.
Regarding Defensive Bonus: - Bump it up to 20+ XP. People need more incentives to actually defend. Too many times people will just abandon the defence of a point because another point is being captured and they want that juicy 400XP from capture. - Increase the Defense XP radius. Its too small right now. I could be a stones throw away from the point and not get XP. It kinda sucks tbh.
I agree that 15/17 XP for defending a point is reasonable (as the game wants to reward aggressive tactics) but you're right, more XP for deffkills is necessary (even then, surviving an attack isn't a given).
Definitely! Often the best position to defend a point from is not within the defensive bonus radius, meaning you either sacrifice your XP or you choose a position that is not as defensible/has worse lines of sight or angles of fire
Yes the defence bonus must stay at 15 because otherwise people would just camp at a defence point, but increasing the radius seems a good idea.
I think messing with the Cap XP would be better, make it map wide but reduce it to 50xp for every person. That way you won't see newbs running for 5 minutes to get in on a cap xp bonus and leaving another point completely open so that the other team can get a cap xp bonus... Def XP bonus increase to 20xp would be nice too, far too often sat at a point just by myself while the other guys run around chasing the enemy/xp bonuses.
Personally one of the BEST places to defend is right around the objective. If you have some outside covering entry points with ranged, you HAVE to keep some in close. Otherwise someone will sneak through and capture it behind your back. Also keep roving patrols running in and out constantly. I agree that defending the objective currently is worth crap exp compared to the points gained from actively attacking and objective. Increasing the points gained per tick would help a lot, as would every 2 minutes that you are near the control point should give say 100 exp. An increase in exp for killing someone while defending should have a small increase as well, say 125 instead of 100. I tend to try and hold a point once it is captured or if I spawn there to find no one defending, so I miss a bunch of exp when the rest of the squad is off attacking a location.
