You could do something like World of Tank. No cursor on screen, but when you press CTRL, the cursor and menu show up
Yes, if we end up needing interactive buttons in the HUD, we might go with a similar system. But I would prefer all interactions to be nested in menus or accessible by Short-Keys, to feel closer to games like CoD, Ps2, BF4, etc. In the end, it will all depends on the final design (we are still prototyping a few variations for triggering abilities, consumables and such).
You can add Warframe in the list of games we want to get close to HUD/Menu-wise, yes. Other ones would be Borderland, Defiance and even The Division. Our gameplay is singular in terms of abilities and progression so foresee something still different from the games I've just listed.
How about a point system similar to how it's done on the xbox, but you can actually spend them in an achievement market? It's always irritated me that I earned gamer points like a currency, but they don't do anything.
I woudnt like that, that implies that theres always something that you cant get,and if one shoud work hard to "achieve" something and everything,he shoud be rewarded in same manner. Also an reward idea, besides unlocking banners and medals, for some hardcore stuff we woud unlock various additions for spaceship, external and internal,or demonic growths and whatnot. Purely cosmetical ofcourse.
