The suppression is significant. During my time with the weapon, once I caused suppression, I'd get hit with almost 0 shots at long ranges. It was so bad, I could usually down a Heavy Bolter user before they hit me; shots would be shooting all around me, but rarely hit me.
Not my experience, and this weapon I have used most out of the heavy weapons. Not my experience at all, quite the opposite in fact. But hey, what do I know I'm just a dumbass Ork.
You all say suppression like it's a fixed trait, rather than a trait done in increments. The heavy bolter has a lot of suppression, the voice of the emperor the most. The Ace Dakka has the least amount of suppression. It's locked to orks, whom suffer more from suppression effects than the other 3 factions, so that sort of evens it out. What the Ace Dakka can do, the autocannon can do as well. The slightly better damage output from the autocannon, as well as 100 LP cheaper and future modding ability, will surely make it better in the end.
No I am not I play all 4 factions and when something is too strong for any faction I call it out I've called Eldar stuff out for a long time. You just refuse to listen because you are so into your own faction you can't see the fact that the Ace Dakka would still be good if its lost the suppression effect. The people posting here aren't asking for a DPS nerf just that the counter to the gun be able to shoot back at it.
Long dude, as long as possible. So the enemy is a speck on my horizon. I have agreed for the suppression to be taken off, largely because I think the effect is negligible to non-existent. It doesn't matter if you've called out Eldar stuff, I've called out Ork stuff, I've literally made threads about how I thought we were too strong - here's a link; http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/lads-iz-wez-too-tuff.63970/ Doesn't make me any less biased and I admit that. You should do the same. It is impossible to be completely unbiased unless you genuinely have no stake in the game and the factions. This is true of very few players and those who post on the forums (or moderate them) even less so.
Hmm... that's odd then. I've been at the same range and I have noticed a difference. I wonder what the difference between out experience is?
What do you consider "more"? I've already put several hours into the weapon and I have noticed a significant decrease in the number of hits I'm taking at range. Normally I have to take some pot-shots from cover and then duck behind when the enemy retaliates, but with the Ace Dakka, I can blast away and I rarely get hit (but I can see people blasting at me).
Play more, several hours isn't many in the grand scheme of things. What weapons are the enemy attacking back with? Is there anyone else shooting at them? Are they moving as they fire or stationary? Are you noticing the effects of suppression against you or not? All these questions will likely shed some light on your perception of the weapon.
