Remove the suppression, don't nerf it hard though. As it stands Orks only have a few things going for them, and people seem intent on demanding the death of the faction lol
I think that just goes with the campaign that was running. Players just getting constant matches up against the same faction probably makes them extremely annoyed as they start to think certain weapons are broken just because they see them a lot.
Isn't that normal when you're not Space Marines? I've gone days at a time without seeing anyone other than Space Marines.
It's basically a unique CSM autocannon. 100 LP over stock autocannon for suppression, a little less damage, a little more controllability, a little more ammo, and no staggering shields seems like a balanced unique, anyway.
OP is foaming at the mouth with disgust! Ace Dakka is good against headless chickens, same as autocannon. Instead of countering with a HB equivalent let's all run at it! Not every game works like that - against good players it'll be different as you will be nullified more Though it shouldn't really suppress as that's the dakka deffguns job. But seriously OP, you should try more facts and less false outrage - the tone of your post suggests getting a mob together for a good 'ol fashioned lynchin! Less disgust more discuss please
Oh really? Kannon, ace dakka, big shoota (dps higher than stormbolter, supresses, 100 lp less), general toughness and such. "A few things going for them", sure. Treat Kannon with same tratment as PC was treatet. Make in inline. Ttreat Ace dakka with the same tratment as AC was treated + remove suppression. Make in inline. Well i can continue but you get the idea. And that is not a death of a faction. That is welcome back to normal.
The situation you described is just that, a situation. It is what the ACE Dakka is MEANT TO DO. If you tried using it in any game where it is not deployed in its ideal environment is becomes a bag of spanners, the same as many other ork weapons. Congratulations on just getting the gun and using it a couple of times but PLEASE before you begin to cry whine go and try and use it in ALL types of situation and ALL MAPS before you spray more tears at the forum. I am absolutely f**king sick of people getting on the ork bandwagon(trukk) and crying nerf because they have played with a gun for 5 minutes. thank you.
I feel like you didn't even read my post. I'm not "foaming at the mouth". I am merely extremely concerned that this weapon seems far above anything else I've played with as an ork. Heck, people aren't even running at me when they try to get rid of me. I find a vantage point where I can see a high volume of enemy traffic (preferably as far away as possible) and start mow marines down one after one. Even when the enemy tries to suppress me with a Heavy-Bolter equivalent... I also suppress and 4 times out of 5 I win anyway. The only times I've had any issues is when A) I was within line of sight of a Quad-Cannon, and B) when a Heavy Bolter and at least one other person started shooting at me. And even in these situations, I generally couldn't be killed cause I'd just pull back from the cover, reposition, and continue the killing game. I used only that weapon for hours straight, and very rarely did I ever feel not in control of the situation. And not just in control, but I felt I dominated nearly all situations.
I played with this gun for literal hours. For half the day. It did not seem to matter what the situation or map was; most of the time, I was untouchable by the enemy, and the times when a space marine could get close, I'd usually be able to bring the gun around and obliterate them before they could down me. I had this same success in every map I played: offense, defense, capture maps, ticket maps, against Chaos, against LSM, against Eldar (which I was actually worried about for a bit). In all situations where I was engaged in point-blank range by a melee specialist, I dominated. That does not seem right to me, at all.
