Its not better than say abbadons grace imo, and also don't forget it costs more ( than a standard auto cannon) weather you think its better or not. BTW It was nerfed when the other auto cannons were nerfed AND It does less damage than the CSM auto cannons, has the same fire rate, but is slightly better on spread and recoil, and has a larger clip. That means that they are ruffly equal in effective dps full auto, but with controlled fire the auto cannon has the edge over the ace dakka. Abbadon's Grace costs the same but has that heat damage which makes it solidly better. (LP costs are before advancements) Auto Cannon LP 500 DMG 133/98 Abbadon's Grace LP 600 DMG 133/98 Plus 5 Heat damage Ace Dakka LP 600 DMG 124/91
You're forgetting (or not mentioning) that the Ace Dakka literally has 20% of the SIPS of the Autocannon. That lets it be incredibly accurate with sustained fire.

no I mentioned it... just not the specifics. But my point was that if you are going full auto with an ace dakka or auto cannon you are doing it wrong.. Its all about the head shots, and keeping it from over heating.
The point is you can still maintain head-shots by going full auto with the Ace Dakka for a bit. The SIPS is so low, that it lets you do some rather stupid things. I think that's actually the main issue with the gun.
Tried out some abbadon's grace play but I got nowhere near the same amount of kills I can get with a ace dakka while running around unbraced. Some speculation why. I noticed on ace dakka I can usually turn around and shoot someone who comes from the sides/behind and kill them but it's very unlikely on AG. 1. Orks heads are not seen from behind and the gun itself covers a lot from sides, it's fairly easy to headshot a chaos space marine from any angle so they can blast away at my head before i even notice em on chaos but not so much on ork. 2. Suppression, as soon as I shoot once, whether it hits or not unless he's virtually in melee range his chance to hit goes way down especially headshots. 3. Headshot damage reduction, it's easy to get headshots on a heavy, they ain't got much mobility if they want to shoot. So ace dakka will basically take at the very least 25% less damage due to it, combined with suppression making headshots more difficult it will greatly improve the Ace dakka's chances to win a shoot out compared to an AG. 4. Ace dakka barrel is higher then AG, chest high walls are a pain on ag unless braced on them. So even if you changed the sips/recoil to be identical to an AG and removed suppression i think i'd still do way better on ace dakka then AG (unbraced).

Ace dakka takes the same amount of kills as the auto cannon (also compare it to the master crafted auto cannon not the base) while having far less SIPS and suppresion to boot. the 9 less damage on this gun means nothing it still kills in the same amount of shots.
Wrong, the 9 less damage can and does mean something. Not in every circumstance but in many, too many to list if I'm honest. The same goes for Abaddons Disgrace fire debuff. We all know it's as weak as anything, but I've lost count of how many times I've gone down because of it. Don't try to devalue damage and fire debuffs because you believe it to be a small number, it makes a huge difference in a combat situation and I'm sick of people underplaying it.
