The Ace dakka is a high accuracy long range low rate of fire loota gun that's really killy, which I like, but it's not very orky. So I'd like to suggest a rework of the gun to make it so. So essentially the new version of the ace dakka would be based off the deff shiny dakka defgun (heavy bolter). However it would have a higher rate of fire, and less spread. It would still be just as killy but it would do it with more dakka.
Correct me if im wrong, but the way you typed this is suggesting the gun gets at least x3 more dps, lol wut? unless you meant for it to have less damage after your changes wich... there is people that like the ace dakka the way it is, its been nerfed few times already id rather have a new deffgun with said mechanics than possibly ruining the ace
If you lower its damage but raise its RoF...it litterally just becomes a dead shiny dakka deffgun. If you really want it to change and be unique it would probably have to go the burst fire route. Gain more ammo, more spread, less heat per shot, and ine trigger pull fires out a burst of like 10 bullets that are doing roughly the same dmg per hit at long range. Problem then becomes that it would be a short range heavy shotgun. You're just not gonna be able to rework this thing and have it actually remain useful. Also side note. After all the nerfs a dead shiny dakka deffgun has roughly the same TTK at range, better ammo capacity, and more efficient heat management. It becomes better at short ranges where a couple head shots are easy to get but the DS dakka deff doesn't really lag that far behind. Although you do tend to shoot more allies.
If any weapon needs a Rework, especially in the Ork Pile O' Gunz it's the Skip Launcher. Other notable contenders are the Six-Shoota, Torpedo Axe Or maybe even the Git Prod (Since it does no more damage than the heavy attack LSM Mace but for some reason has the durability of an already half dead grot.
No leave it as it is. Stalker bolters are a thing, and eldar may get their ranger, so chaos and ork will need something snipy for us Blood Axe gitz who know all dis taktiks an kunnin stuff.
It's loud, and it blows stuff up. Orky enough if you ask me. But for reals, "bigger" dakka is as orky as "more" dakka. Otherwise you wouldn't get such things as deff/supa kannons or big lobbas or rokkit launchas.
If they're gonna fix anything for orks I want them to focus on our vehicles tbh. That stupid top heavy trait paired with glitchy handling and turning causes tjem to get blown up via getting stuck more than any other factions vehicles.
