Freebootaz are not a clan, neither are feral Orkz or Kult of Speed.

    The clans are:

    *Bloodaxes; including Kommandos.
    *Deathskulls; including lootaz.
    *Goff.
    *Evil Sunz.
    *Snakebite; including boar boyz.
    *Evil Sunz.
    *Bad Moonz.

Those are the clans, other units were formed out of renegade cults that came from multiple clans, such as the Kult of Speed, Stormboyz, Flashgitz ect.

Personally I want to see Snakebites as I would love to have boars in the game.
  3. I would have ta say Freebootaz. Who wouldn't want to be a pirate ork. I know i would.

Daymn thatz tough. Pirates or Maniac Motorists. I guess savages could be fun too. Bleh on Merc traitors.

    UGH, no vote yet.
  5. Tempted to suggest Feral Orks given their insane steam driven creations from Epic 40,000, but Freebooters look like a much more fun/viable potion.

    You listed Evil Sunz twice.
Are you trying to tell us something?

I need to read up on my lore more closely, but would they still fall under a 5th faction (the Kult or the Freebootaz for example) as say, if we were to try and incorporate the Inquisition in? Like where would they fall? I can see the Sisters and the Guard being easily put in (though still human, on their own sides) but... I don't know.

Maybe I'm using a bad example here and confusing myself.

Could the Inquisition be put in as it's own side or would it have to be put in with another Order even though they stand alone? They tend to pull resources from other orders iirc. Maybe they could be all sneaky types.

    Sorry, way off topic.

    It's a typo, I'm a Sankebite all the way.

Technically Inquisition is a faction as they include 3 orders in their ranks:

    Daemon Hunters (Grey Knights).
    Xeno/Alien Hunters (Death Watch)
    Heretic Hunters (Sisters of Battle).

All 3 are Inquisitorial forces, while the grey knights are an elite force comprised of psykers and the death watch are comprised of veterans from multiple chapters in kill teams the sisters are a chapter to themselves. so the Inquisition could easily be fielded using the Sisters of Battle, with elite units from the other 2 orders backing them up in champion and hero slots.

I'm an old player and haven't played the 5th edition table top, I still remember when there were no freebootaz and they were called the Flashgitz, and the guys with jump packs were dressed like the Hitler Youth and called Stormboyz, the Kult of Speed were a group of outcasts on the boarders of Ork society who's champions and heroes were Meks and they, like the Flashgitz came from all of the clans, and had left their own warbosses to join up.
  9. eh I'd vote for freebooterz if they hadn't already been done before in dawn of war II (we don't have blood ravens running around in EC (yet?))

Gawd, it's so far away, but if the core game is successful (which I think it will be) and we start to see it expanding, there are just so many possibilities. I'm sure they'll bring in other Xenos races first, but so there are so many awesome directions to take the game in (in the FAR future).
