Here's a little insight for those who don't know much about these "sub-groups":

Freebooterz: Freebooterz are piratical Orks who exist on the fringe of Ork Kultur. They are bandits and sell-swords belonging to no specific tribe or clan but who will work with any tribe as well as stand against any other if the price is right. Freebooterz are Ork warbands that are composed of an amalgam of Ork mobs from several different warbands or Orks who have separated themselves from their former clan by choice or through exile. These roving bands are composed of renegades, bandits, pirates and other outcasts.Forsaking their former clans' distinctive apparel, Freebooterz wear styles of dress intended to emphasize their mercenary status, decorating themselves in flamboyant clothing and piercings such as ear and nose rings. Having long since abandoned any tribal or clan loyalties, they have adopted highly personalised insignia in place of their former clan symbol. he pirate band serves as these outcast Orks' new home. As a result, they roam the universe in small, often dilapidated Ork spacecraft, and hide out on isolated planets and large asteroids. The band is usually led by a hardened Warboss who prefers the title "Kaptin."

    Famous Freebooterz Members:
Kaptin Bluddflagg: Seen in Dawn of War 2: Retribution.
Kaptin Badrukk: Kaptin Badrukk is the most infamous Ork Freebooter of all. He leadsBadrukk's Flash Gitz who have fought with many Warbosses, including every major Warlord in recent times.

    Blood Axes:
The Blood Axes were the first to encounter the Imperium of Man. They have picked up many human tactics, such as using camouflage and retreating when they are losing ("It don't count as losing, cuz we can also come back for anuvver go, see?"). Indeed, when they do retreat, Blood Axes will in fact return with larger numbers. They trade with humans for wargear and vehicles, and have even worked as mercenaries for the Imperium at times . All of these things lead followers of other klanz to brand them as dangerously treacherous, cowardly and un-orky gitz! Most Blood Axes are back-stabbing "Kommandoz", essentially serving as Ork special operations troops.

Famous Blood Axe Warbosses:Gorsnik Magash, also known as Great Fiend Gorsnik was the Overfiend of Octarius at the time of the Third War for Armageddon and ally toGhazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka.

Kult of Speed:The largest and most popular of the various subcultures of Ork society is the Kult of Speed. Orks love to go fast. Speed fulfils some deep need in the Orkish temperament, just like the thunder of guns, the clank of tank tracks or the din of battle. Some Orks become addicted to the sensation of speed and join the Speed Freeks, the name for those Greenskins who belong to the Ork Kult of Speed, a Kult whose members rarely if ever get out from behind the handlebars or steering wheels of their light vehicles. These grinning greenskinned lunatics roar into battle ahead on exhaust-belching jalopies and crude but effective flying machines, intent on getting into the thick of the fighting before their ground-pounding comrades. Due to the large number of vehicles in each Speed Freek warband, they often have several of the Oddboyz known asMekboyz amongst their number to keep their vehicles repaired and fast.

Famous Kult members: Wazdakka Gutsmek is ostensibly the greatest Ork Warbiker in existence (dismanteled a Titan that belonged to Imperium of man by himself)

Snake Bites:The Snakebites prefer ancient Orky tradition to advanced technology, shunning things like forcefields and armoured vehicles in favour of protecting themselves with war paint and riding into battle on huge boars wielding spearz and choppas. Depending on how fundamentalist their anti-technology beliefs are, the Snakebites may choose to remain as Feral Orks even after their civilisation possesses the technical knowledge required to advance to an industrial state.

    Famous Snake Bite Warbosses:
Hurk Teefsplitnta - In 855.M41 Hruk Teefsplinta enslaved the entire population of the Corva System. Hruk forced his slaves to build huge Space Hulks to accomodate his mega-menagerie. Once built, Hruk set off to conquer the core worlds of the Imperium of Man. He took over the 9 Shrine Worlds of Marlisanct, using its Basilica Imperator Majoris to house hisSquiggoths.

I personally voted Freeboterz. Nothin' beta than being a ork pirate. I will either be a Freebooterz Nob or a Deathskullz Loota. Hard choice:confused:
  9. Mr.Dakka Mr-Dakka Subordinate
