Actually, wait, lemme get this correct real quick: are those weapons both upgrades AND can install mods?

Because if they have slight bonuses but can't install any mods, that's how it's supposed to be: buy RT weapons for slight buffs, or grind mods for bigger buffs. That was advertised like a year ago

It isnt exactly hard to get those mods. If you buy out all the 1k and 5k boxes (which isn't hard to do, I did it in less than two days, where I was at work during the day, so I wasnt playing like 24h), you can get the equivalent bolter mods in no time.
That you cant get duplicates in loot boxes makes it easy to get all the equipment you want in no time.

Never said you couldn't

You cannot further mod those weapons, they are essentially the standard model with mods already chosen and locked in. The loadout cost also reflects the cost of the mods.

Honestly, the game isn't perfect, there were some big expectations they failed to live up to and there's some serious issues in regards to the prices of appearance items but at the end of the day the game itself is fun, functional and allows me to cave the heads of loyalists in with a chainaxe which is all I really wanted.

In your opinion the game is fun. Some people are just easily satisfied.

In my opinion, and I know the majority would agree with me, the game is not fun. Movement in clunky, melee is garbage, maps are small, it's the same experience every time - queue for match, hope you can find a game, enter one of four maps, if you're attacker you lose if you're defender you win.

On top of that, teammates are often worse than AI bots. 50% of the time I have to walk up to a support class's face when I need healing and they won't heal me until I start hitting them. If you hide a transport behind an objective 50% of the time a teammate will get in, drive off and get blown up and often run over another teammate in the process. Everyone just does their own thing and ignores waypoints and requests for healing/ammo/support/etc. Heck, if you try to coordinate through ingame chat no one even responds. Don't even get me started about friendly fire.

I had the exact opposite experience yesterday and it's my first game in months! Very helpful teammates, good teamwork and attackers won.

Not saying game is great, it's firmly in good but needs a lot of help at the moment.

Some of the negativity is genuine. The rest is just the puerile internet culture that's pervaded the 40k fanbase.
