About that lifesteal mod...

  1. Yeah...I've come to the conclusion that this needs to share the same mod slot as Damage/Penetration.

    Switch the Force Impact mod over to it's place so there's still another choice for that mod slot, Penetration can become a Handle mod then.
  2. Wow, everyone's ok with being able to juice the damage of a weapon and run lifesteal on it?

    No ones tired of JPA's with Power Swords dealing near Axe level damage with Sword speed and gaining health?

    long term wise you may be able to sustain yourself against low damage input... however if facing enemys of similar skill the impact mod and a healthpack can bring you further. the heal is not enought to solo Pve on hard either unless you also chose mark of khorne... in which case you will be dead once you get downed and can not be picked back up after doing a mistake.

    however the point cost may need to be adjusted since a powerfist obv. heals way more per hit than a chainsword.

    getting both impact and livesteal however would improve your melee game way more than just that bit of damage which you may get from other sources anyway.
  4. Honestly since launch I see fewer JPAs than ever. I could be off, but it feels like there used to be way more.
  5. Really? Oh god its the opposite for me, doubly so if it's a clan war party.

    JPAS and Plasma Cannons. All day.

    Assuming you have almost 0 health and find some afk or utterly terrible players, I think you'd have to kill about 3 of them with nothing but fast attacks to get back up to full health. The damage mod kills them more quickly, meaning you get less hits in, as well. Seems fine to me. I use both damage and lifesteal on my raptor and the lifesteal comes in handy to eat an extra bullet on the escape after a lil raid, but it doesn't seem worth the LP. If anything it should cost slightly less to use, imo. Seems fine atm, it doesn't heal that much without the mark of khorne stuff.

    I wouldn't be able to stand playing my Stormboy without the lifesteal + damage mod combo.
  8. Honestly I want more to raise the price of all the melee weapon mods because they have a lot of impact for the price.
    Also, imagine if we could get extra damage AND penetration. That would only get the no tanky situation even in a worse spot.
  9. I could see making the Damage mod cost 100 points as well. 50 points for that boost is a bargain. 100 might ruin some builds and make players give up something.
  10. I have no problem with it, people block enough so there so skill is still needed. No real problem, I am fine with this, it rewards the successful and is irrelevant to those who fail.
