About some Ork Weapons

    No, as I said in my previous post -
    Add to spammed overpowered. Which is what you seem to be implying, and I disagree with. OP weapons get spammed, no doubt, players can't help themselves use the best tool for the job. Hence the AC posts every week.

    The reason you don't see so many "Nerf Ace Dakka" posts is because the weapon isn't spammed, the weapon isn't spammed because it isn't considered that great. To put this in perspective it is used less than a Quad Gun.

    E - also haven't you forgotten one of the grenades for some of the classes? E2 - Ah I've seen it now ignore.

  3. Fuck Ace Dakka and Kannon, why is the Shoota so god damn accurate still even at medium-long range?

    I don't think people are fully realizing just how potent the rifles are, let alone pistols right now. God damn I feel like they're practically Bolters despite Orks supposedly having the worst accuracy in lore.

    Really no one talks about it because Ork melee is wonky at best. For a faction built around melee, they are better at range than Eldar yet worse at melee.

    Orks have a very backwards design philosophy.

    As a Loota player who uses the Kannon a lot, I can tell you that thing has significant drawbacks to compensate for the ability to 1-hit-kill people.

    1) You're essentially defenseless at medium-to-close range. You don't have a counter at all, your snap-shot is a grenade that bounces all over the place and explodes somewhere you weren't even wanting it to go. Literally unless you can get a charged shot off at point-blank range, you're dead meat. And usually that shot kills you too.

    2) High visibility. You CANNOT carry a giant fucking kannon around and not get noticed by everybody, usually making you a prime target pretty damn quick.

    3) Suppression of any kind totally ruins your aim. Even light suppression completely screws any shot you're trying to make as your gun starts aiming all over the damn place.

    4) 3-4 second reload after every shot. Meaning that even with sustained fire you're only getting a shot off every 6-7 seconds, plus shot travel time (which has incidentally TK'd more Orks than I'd like to admit. Nothing like watching your shot travelling towards a group of enemies only to watch your teammates jump in front of the shot).

    5) Cannot reload while braced. This is a major sticking point, because you cannot maintain a defensive position. You have to shoot, unbrace, reload, rebrace, aim, fire. Doubles your time-to-shoot at minimum.

    6) Chiefly only useful on defense/fortresses. Attacking anything with this weapon will often simply lead to a fast death as you're easily outmaneuvered by enemies more suited to close confines


    If you don't call those drawbacks enough to warrant the kannons ability to kill you with 1 hit, nothing in this game ever will. In which case Power Fists should only put you in a downed state, because after all if a high-explosive round goes off next to you and you survive obviously a punch to the head should be nothing.

    Only change I would make to it would be a larger shot visibility and travel time. Make that shot look like fiery doom headed your way, mayyyybe slow it down a notch. That's it.

    HUGE sticking point in our playerbase. Hence why we always joke that we're just Tau painted green. You'd see a lot more Slugga players if they could fix our faction.

    We often take mods to increase our accuracy, and most of us have learned to manually compensate for the increased recoil over time. Our melee has been so screwed for so long we've gotten really good at making our dakka go where we want it to go.

    Some how orks got the toughest and most health from this patch..
    Orks gotta have strength in number but right now every orks are nobs or something more than dat.

    That's most likely because no unique weapons were part of the list for any faction, not that the Ace Dakka is poor. It's an inferior autocannon, yes, but an autocannon is pretty good.

    The Ace Dakka's kills where counted as part of the Deffgun's, since it's basically just a modified one. And surprise! The Deffgun ranks #1

    Otherwise you'd have seen Abbadon's Grace on the list of Havoc's most used weapon, wouldn't you? Or Hunter's Mark on Hawks, etc. Yet these are no where on the list.

    Oh, is this new? Because the Ace Dakka has more heat capacity, better recoil/spread, and suppression.

    Is this that perpetual victim complex thing you guys have going on?
