    Hello Crusaders!

My name is Katie Fleming and I am your new Community Manager for Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade. I’m thrilled to be part of the team here at Behaviour Interactive and am planning a ton of goodness for you guys!

To give you a little background on myself, I’ve been a gamer since I was a kid and started out on a Commodore 64. Games like Space Taxi, Super Mario Bros, and Pit Stop were just a few of the hundreds of discs I had. Fast-forward to my next computer and I was majorly addicted to Doom II, Quake, Duke Nukem, and Tomb Raider, just to name a few. Today you’ll find me playing Left 4 Dead 2 on an almost nightly basis, Killing Floor, Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Dead Island.

For 14 years I’ve been running a Tomb Raider fan site that has been published in a comic book, appeared in a documentary for one of the TR titles, and had a feature in the Guinness World Records 2013 Gamer’s Edition. Working in the gaming industry has been a dream of mine for years, and after nearly four years of trying to break in, I was welcomed by the Behaviour team.

While I’m new to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, I was given a starter paint kit a little while back and have had a taste of what the painting process is like. I decided to paint the Space Marines in the pack as Dark Angels; this one is still a work in progress, but you can see where I’ve left off (following post)

I’m busy planning some really cool stuff for you, and after a grueling session of breaking a few of Mathieu’s bones (he’ll be fine, though I’m sure he’d love to receive some roses) he has agreed to let me give you two presents! Think of it as my gift to you for your incredible support of Eternal Crusade so far. Please share this with your fellow Crusaders!

We’d also like to give Perpetuum Mob a big thank you for voting Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade the most anticipated online game!

Mark your calendars for June 25th! We’re all super excited about the upcoming launch of the Founder’s Program, and the brand new Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade website. I can’t wait for you to see what the team has been working vigorously on!

That’s it for now – tell me a little about yourselves, and feel free to contact me via the channels below. Looking forward to sending more goodness your way, and definitely keep an eye out on the Eternal Crusade Twitter/Facebook and forums for all the latest news!

Too bad you fell for the I legion crybabies, i'm sure in time you'll make the sensible choice of being a denizen of Commorragh.
    A pleasure nonetheless.

    Welcome to the forums :)

I think you might want to edit the pic to an Eldar Ranger, people may get confused.

    Our new community manager, eh?
We need a new driver! community manager! This one is dead...

    Welcome!
  10. Katie,
Congrats on your new job in the video game industry! Now a word of advise, 40k fans are extremely dedicated to the lore, maybe more than any other fan base you've encountered. The first thing you need to do is read and read and read. Read the codices from GM, read a mix of contemporary 40k set novels and Horus Heresy novels for the back story of why it's all so GrimDark. Dive in and you'll find what I think is the deepest Universe in all of SciFi. So enjoy and again welcome!
