I respectfully disagree. Outside of FPSes, people do care very much about winning, so much in fact that half of the MOBA playerbase consists of extremely irritable sociopaths.

    so the mission,
if you all choose to accept it - is too go out and make a difference once the game starts. make this the community you want it to be. Or just do what i plan on. Keep to my guild and chapter. (meaning my space wolf brethren)

I think we can maintain a sense of friendly openness to new arrivals. We all enjoy the lore of Warhammer 40,000 and we know what it's like being new to the game.

I'm confident we'll have a friendly community to the new arrivals. Keeping our RP to playful banter

Well i like to role play from time to time only in those fun situations, but soo far people have been very mature and thats soo cool in my book every one in here loves the lore no matter how much they know about it, no matter how old or young you are, we are here to play a *game* that develops in a universe we love (yes im in love with 40k since little :p )

As in any other games we cant help the fact that we will get some people that isnt that nice (trolls, glory huggers, etc) as where i stand i will always help a battle brother in need, no matter what chapter your in, i give a crap about old rivalries, in my codex no space marine is left behind and i hope when that day comes where i need help you will return the kindness that i have showed before.

As for the rest of you xenos and heretics we can have a real friendly competive comunity it really depends on us, i love every one who loves 40k why in the emperors name not? you people just like me are here to play and have the best part of all.....FUN! :D

People are welcoming now because it's all about lore and RP right now. We have no game data or anything else to base player skill off of.

Once that hits you'll start seeing a shift. It happens to every single game to one extent or the other. Sometimes it's not so bad, others it consumes their forums in the flames of heresy.

Know that it is up to the individual to decide how they act, how someone else conducts themselves should have NO bearing on you being a good and welcoming member of the community. Don't be that heretical Slaanesh lover and be a royal orkbag to someone because they lack the same skill or are still learning.

Regardless of how well I do in game, from being one of the best players or the worst, I plan on being respectful to my fellow player regardless of how they treat me. If they are unkind or anything else negative then that person isn't worth my time and they shall be ignored no matter their station in game.

    Be an example. It spreads.

it'll maintain, for now. The more info gets released and closer we get to something playable to nastier things will get. that is unavoidable.

and let's not forget people that know very little if nothing about 40K and then come "suggesting" that kill streaks and whatnots would be a good thing for this game to have. That'll mostly likely gather quite some heat and the longer it goes on(usually from the OP being stubborn) the worse it will get until it gets closed by a mod.

so my answer is for now yes, later on not so much.

Be the better guys and show them its game nothing else you dont need info for that and if your allready mature enough to understand that then i wouldnt worry for the mayority of this comunity, yes we will get nasty things but nothing that with bit of reason and patience we cant solve
