A Very Specific Complaint

Discussion in 'Orks' started by Corphy, Dec 20, 2014.

  1. ok. whats with that hero class that's buyable in the founders store? its been bugging me for ages. just include big meks, wierdboyz, and warbosses as hero classes. if you want a fourth, make it a freebooter kaptin.
and the elite class. its a lot less...heretical..but still.
what do YOU guys think, players?

Don't get the point. Could you re-explain better?
Btw, those units should be elite classes, plus atm they can't really focus that much on stuff out of loyalist, traitors and basic game mechanics.
I truly think this kind of complaints is out of place right now...

I agree with Krooza. Let them make LSM and CSM good first and then focus on Orks & Eldar.

Not 100% sure which one you have a problem with mate o_O

The Founders "Heroes" are both pre-set loadout characters based on regularly attainable classes, only one is even a Hero. The Skarboy Kommando probably being a particular Warboss (Command) loadout and the Cybork Madboy being a Power Klaw build of the 'Ard Boy (Assault). Nothing they have or do is unique, in fact they're very limited versions of their basic versions. It's mostly just a flavour name/skin as far as I know; they're not supposed to be a whole different type of Hero/class from the ones we're going to earn in-game so making them Wierdboyz, Big Meks and Warbosses would take up a 40K unit that could be fully fleshed out as a new Hero class post-launch.

I'm guessing they have some Req cost/delay on them because they break through the loadout limit, like a Veteran tier build would. Not completely sure on that, but that's my understanding.
  5. ah Theiß heros and elites are just some special replacements for the normal special ones

so the cybork thingy might be a high HP armor boy with lots of close combat stuff
while the commando is the very high specialised one which acts very unorky

    anyway you all will die!
someone revoke mod rights to me! I'm super drunken

As I understand it, Heroes (Command) will also have an aura buff to give. So then what would a Kommando give? Something sneaky is the obvious assumption but last I heard Devs aren't sure about stealth mechanics yet.

    Warning: Not an Ork player.

Maybe something Shadow-Lord-In-Lord-Of-The-Rings-Esque, that Orks in a radius have a chance to just not be hit by bullets since he's so super purple it rubs off on them and they get super sneeky?

I don't really see anything wrong with the store units since I doubt there won't be Bosses and Nobs and the usual suspects in Elite and Hero slots, so the variety is nice.

Diz ere. Diz zound az a proppa buff fer a zuppa zneacky kommando nob. Make all da jwwa ladz zneacky and ztab dem humiez in da faze, EH EH AH!
  9. i just dont think that a kommando is hero class material...and it kinda breaks lore imo in a place where it doesn't need to be broken or bent.

Were it a normal Kommando, I'd concur, but it's explicitly named Skarboy Kommando, and from my understanding of the Orks, Skarboys are veterans instead of standard fighters, thus they do have combat experience. In addition, there is the line "The best of the best of these sneaky gitz are the Skarboy Kommandos. Big enough and tough enough to push even nobz around, Skarboy Kommandos are experts at leading the boyz into battle from unexpected quarters[...]". Considering they get to push Nobz around, I think their leadership is Orkishly validated.
