This is a revival of the original A Twisting Affair taking placed four months after the Inquisitor has returned to Imperial space once again. The retinue leader is one Inquisitor George Moriarty of the Ordo Hereticus who is on a personal endeavor to eliminate a Chaos threat which threatens the Gothic sub sector. You are an aspiring member of his newest retinue that is setting out on a lead to investigate a distress signal from a supposedly abandoned Imperial outpost orbiting the southern skirts of the sub sector which the chaos incursion now codenamed "Blood Horn" was known to have passed through recently.

Characters that can be submitted are open to any Imperial faction with limitations placed against the Assassin orders and other Inquisitors that are not junior in ranking. I will also place a limit of one Astartes and one Sororitas as well due to the "large" personalities of them tending to clash quite regularly.

We will be launching most likely on Monday, the 28th of November. This will be a non-stat based, casual roleplay so you can ignore most of the minute details I normally cover and as to character submissions, the general rule of thumb of:
    • Name
    • Age
    • Height
    • Weight
    • Physical Description/Appearance
    • Background
    • Wargear (I won't place limits for now but I ask that you be realistic with what can be feasibly taken with you and also towards the rarity of wargear alloted based off your class choice)
    • Class (ie: Imperial Guard Heavy Gunner, Astartes, Arbite Chastener, etc.)
    • Any skills, feats your character posses as a generalization such as being proficient at lockpicking

Manifest: A collection of wargear and armour you can choose from (mostly Imperial Guard/Navy/Arbite/Sororitas weapons though you can also choose Astartes wargear as well that is not on here, this is a guideline)
    Character Manifest: To be Released
    IC Thread: To be Released

Squad Roster: To be filled as characters are submitted.

Would you like me to rework the character sheet from my old character here or roll with what I've got?
  3. Either or is fine. This will be pretty laid back (for once).

  4. I know I probably asked this before already, but it is still ok to bring over my sanctioned xenos from the other rp or would you prefer if I make a new character?

--Also, would like to know if I could see of making an Astartes character. Just wanting to be sure in case anyone else has that reserved >>; I don't wanna go posting my character sheet, then see that someone else wasted a lil while writing theirs.
  6. Yes, it's fine.
There are currently no Sororitas or Astartes in the squad yet.

Would having a homebrew chapter be fine, then? Summary: Mostly-dead chapter, hate of Chaos - under 3 companies left.
Or should I keep to an already-set chapter?
  8. Meh, you caught me in a good mood. Approved.

    Name: Alphonse
    Age: 267
    Height: 7'7
Weight: 500 KG (? Not entirely familliar on how much an Astartes would weigh - going for 'average')

Physical Description/Appearance: He was a large man, as were all Astartes. His armour was a light, iron-blue colouration and had orange-red pauldrons, with a darker colouration of a near-dark-gray for the legs. His armour while certainly clearly one of strength and durability, was far more weathered than one would expect. The helm itself was coloured a bright orange, MK IV "Maximus" helmet with a set of emerald-green eyeslits.
His Powered Armour was primarily worn with a set of 'robes' atop of them. One could mistake it more for the lines of those worn like the Dark Angels and their successor chapters, though the Iron Angels' wore them with far darker colouration of gray or brown, depending on the environment: more of camouflage, for those who could not gain access to cameleoline cloaks: such rare things were usually reserved for a scout company, though with such a small number of Chapter members, it was possible to set these on other non-Scout Astartes.
The right arm itself ended up requiring reconstruction of course - the polished plating upon the vambrace, gauntlet and the new pauldron looking out of place with the rest of the dented armour.
The face underneath was as human as could be - a thick jawline and a clear glare, the sight of his face wasn't one that most lesser-willed men or women tended to be alright with, being one of the Emperor's Angels of Death. 2cm short, brown hair was atop of his head as well, at least giving him a 'partially' normal appearance along with the muddy-brown eyes beneath.

Background: One of the remaining 250 within the 'Iron Angels' loyalist Chapter, this man had little to distinguish himself amongst the Cursed chapter: his hate for Heretics was certainly known, as was his stubborn nature in overriding the ranking of any Imperial sergeants nearby should the battlefield itself be against such traitorous scum - some stories being of him gathering a platoon of Guardsmen to hunt down whatever Chaos champions that may be present. Outside of this, however, he did not have much that seemed pleasant - not the best of relations with Imperial Command, often being seem as a reckless zealot in his desire to deal with whatever the enemy was - Xenos or Heretic.

Wargear: Artificer Armour (If allowed: If not, merely normal powered armour, MK VI Aquila), Power Sword, Combi-plasma (Boltgun /w a single "clip" of plasma fire) Auspex, & a pair of Frag & Krak grenades. (If possible: Cameleoline cloak. Optional.)
    Class: Astartes Veteran

    Notable Skills:
Duelist - fighting an enemy one-on-one, in melee combat.

Background: Dekkas was a juvenile Nuvenorean that set out to find his own society to embed himself in and grow just like any other of his kind. Course things took swift turn downwards when he was captured by slavers who had a specialty in taking xenos. Time in captivity was not kind to him and he quickly learned how above Humans thought themselves over any other xenos species, teaching it’s best to remain quiet when amongst them.

Sometime later, after months of being passed over due to buyer’s lack of information on his species, a Noble family of a hive world bought him, knowing of the potential intellect of Nuvenoreans. The Dakol family wanted him to act as a tutor/ servant to their daughter Saven Celest Dakol and to help further their own political agendas by helping them maneuver the labyrinth like book of Imperial law and the every shifting political landscape. What he didn’t expect was the kindness of Saven, who saw him as a person and friend instead of simply property.

But this good fortune didn’t last long as the Dakol family was accused of Heresy and Treason, several other Families working together to form this false narrative against them, chiefly Saven who was heir to the control of the Family and possible planetary Governor. With her family disowning her, he voluntarily left with her ,more loyal to her than to the family now, helping her go on the run from the Inquisitor that arrived at the hints of Heresy and doing his best to make sure his Mistress did not succumb to despair at what had happen.
