Attempt to restart (again) on the weekend of the 24th of this month, if all else fails I will bot the necessary amount of players so we can at least start the real campaign missions in which people can mostly solo them instead of having to rely on other players who may not be here. I will also for roleplay purposes introduce a lore loophole that will allow me to bot players (Eldar wraith rune stones as seen in Ravenor) so next time something like this happens I won't feel as bad about botting people. For those of you who attempted last time to restart it, you will have a special reward upon completion for your continued loyalty to the Throne.
As the psychic energy washed over the reactor room, thick tendrils of ethereal flame and lightning began to dance between the pylons as the summoning began to reach its crescendo. Cast aside in the darkness in a broken heap, the Brother-Sergeant slowly began to rise to his feet and reached for his dagger. Taking a few faulty steps and almost falling back onto his knees, the marine rallied and slowly marched towards the dais and the whickering form of the Chaos Lord. As if sensing the danger, the twisted form turned and raised an flame encased gauntlet and sent a searing beam of flame that set the loyalist afire from head to foot. Refusing to give in, the melting form took four more steps through the inferno before succumbing to the flames. Barging in from the end of the chamber, the rest of the survivors saw the brother-sergeant fall as he was immolated where he stood and began to fan out and begin laying down covering fire. Sarah and Alicia slowly made their way towards the wounded form of Sergeant Kroll. Dragging him into cover, Guardsman Thorne quickly advanced and began to dress his more serious wounds in an attempt to stabilize him before he bled out. As ethereal spears of flame danced outwards towards their positions, Watson stood and let out a psychic scream and willed the nearest cultist to commit martyrdom where he stood, detonating the satchel of grenades he wore and taking out the dais in a cloud of sparks and flame. With the power supplying it denied, a massive concussive boom whipped everyone to their feet as the energy backlash soon jumped from generator to generator utterly destroying them in an electrical fire storm. Through the walls, energized emplacements could be heard shorting out or outright exploding as the backwash tore through the station. The impacts of heavy ordnance and torpedoes picked up as the stations shields and defenses collapsed along with its orbital pattern as it slowly began its descent towards the plagued planet. GM Note: Over half the characters are being botted until the corresponding player decides to return in this engagement. Primary Objective complete, your new orders are to fallback to the hangar bays and await evacuation. Secondary Objective of either destroying/capturing the daemon still stands. Med-kit from Larry Thorne used up, Kroll is at two wounds left and unable to wield any two handed weapons. All other characters are down to four out of five wounds.
OOC: I'm just going with them being able to wake me up SGT Kroll - Finally started coming to once they finished patching him up. "Ugh it feels like I got hit by a chimera." He started sitting up. "Nice of y'all to join me *cough* you should grab those bolters over there. *cough* Anyone have a laspistol I can use?" He attempted to stand up but stumbled. "If I get off this blasted ship I'll be surprised! *cough* Give me a hand will ya."
"I'm alright with what I've got cheers-anyone else feel free to grab one" she looked around at the debris and chaos "know how the hell do we get out of here?"
Loot Note: Chaos Lord has dropped an amulet of Chaos, possible corruption item but will boost WP by 40 on the user, suggestion for Psyker to grab it. 4 Godwyn Pattern Bolters with Chaos insignia, 8 Locke Pattern Lasguns, 4 Frag Grenades, 2 Melta Bombs, 12 Munitorium Pattern A Las-Powercells. GM Note: All players are in the generator room outside of Daniel who is MIA, all the Raven Guard are considered KIA though you do have the option of attempting to drag the Sergeant along with you to return to their Chapter. Might go a long ways towards unlocking them -hint hint- The room shook once again as a much larger detonation rocked the stations foundation causing a part of the unstable room to collapse at the far end. Creating an unstable ramp, the debris revealed a large cargo tunnel most likely used to transport large scale ordnance as would be seen on bombers or defense guns, a probable lead on their escape route. Their only other choice was to head back the way they had come but most likely it would be swarming with enemies now intent on slaughtering whatever they can find on the station now that they can't kill the ones outside.
SGT Kroll- "Alright boys and girls *coughs up blood* *spits it on the ground* lets get a move on. You two grab the Raven Guard Sergeant (OOC: two that are being botted) and let's head up that ramp." With his Stubber pistol in one hand he used one of the lasguns as a crutch (after he took the power cell out of course) and started to hobble towards the ramp that had fallen into place.
