A Twisting Affair Ooc Thread

  1. I'm considering jumping in here. I'm not quite ready to create a character just yet. In the meantime, I have some questions:

    1. I'm on the road quite often-- usually without much warning-- and although I'm rarely gone for more than a day or two at a time, I know it can get to be a bit of an issue if it keeps other players waiting. How are we handling players who take a day or two to respond?
    2. I see that as of yesterday you were working on some Imperial Navy classes. Are they generally open, or are they restricted/locked like some of the others?
    3. I'm aware you're looking to get this show on the road by August 1st; what's the deadline for character sheets? That day, or a day or so before?
    4. Is there a player limit?
  2. Download the document as an Excel Spreadsheet and edit it, then post the Google Doc link in a PM to myself. The alternative is simply tell me the base information such as on the first column of the spreadsheet and the weapon/equipment you would like. ie:
    Example for a character:

    Name: Private Alexander Morrison
    Sex: Male
    Age: 19 Terran Standard
    Regiment: 73rd Mordian Infantry Regiment
Primary Weapon: Merovech Pattern Assault Lasgun
    Secondary Weapon: M 37 Pattern Auto-Pistol
    Accessory 1: Frag Grenade
    Accessory 2: Frag Grenade
    Accessory 3: Smoke Grenade
    Accessory 4: Binoculars
    Primary Trait: Hardened Veteran
    Secondary Trait: Weapon Handling Rifle
    Class: Guardsman

    1. Not a problem, there are a total of eleven planets that can be taken from any approach once the second invasion fleet enters the system, you are in no way locked to my characters location or planet if you decide to take on another quest. This will give players who are more prone to being far away from available posting to operate on their own or with other similar cases without holding up or waiting for other replies from teammates.
    2. The Imperial Guard/Navy and Adeptus Arbites are the only classes available until the third Imperial Invasion fleet arrives which will happen after the first-second planet is liberated fully due to a massive plot twist that will happen. I am also neither confirming or denying that Xenos races might be available later in this roleplay or that ALL Imperial factions will be available at that time. I will however say this now, NO FUCKING ASSASSINS.
    3. This is a drop in/drop out Roleplay and you can join at any time, the farther the plot is, the higher tier you can choose from as starting to allow people to keep up as enemies will progressively get much tougher and fight much more aggressively. It's like graduating from cultists to Blood Pact to Astartes to Daemons, with a bunch of plot twists, xenos, and a rouge space hulk or two thrown in the mix. I am literally going to try and kill all of you to the best of my ability without being unfair because to be honest, you will be in the fight for your life almost from the moment you enter the system. No where will be safe from the enemy.
    4. You can have as many PCs as you would like so if you want to make eleven characters to send to all eleven planets be my guest. You can also add more characters at later times during designated reinforcement points such as when we return to the main fleet or another compliment of troops arrives in system as warp travel is unpredictable at best and no Imperial Invasion Fleet arrives with more than 70% at best of its contingent due to various issues.

  3. Most excellent indeed! I'm very much looking forward to this. (And don't worry, I hate assassins, so you won't be hearing a mention of them from me :) )
  4. I just find it hard to support them in a "good" roleplay because they are ridiculously overpowered and don't really align to any faction as they have killed more Imperials than anything else.

You listed Medics earlier are they still playable because I am not seeing them in the Class List

question do you have a list for any abhumans or possibly characters from penal legions
  7. Hadn't thought of that, but now that you mention it, Vulpas... I want to know, too.
  8. It's a class modification that can be added to any Human class. Allows you to heal other players with your medkit and yourself with only one medkit. Can be used on NPCs. Reason why it's not a real class is because you can't really go past Medic > Surgeon [Listed underneath Skills on the Manifest]

Penal Legions will make an appearance. Abhumans other than Ogryns, Mechanicus units, and possibly some xeno-morphs, will not make an appearance. The lore on them isn't substantial enough for me to make a full Tier 1-5 class ranking on without pulling stuff out of thin air which is what I would hope not to do.
