Dokta you should have made it so we can see who wanted what so I can pester the fuck out of the people who said they wanted the name to stay the same so I can find out why the fuck Traitor is appropriate... All I want to know is why people feel it should stay... Galen is probably right with it being trolls though...
Had to be done, because science. If someone wishes to explain their reasoning they can, but I think there's a good chance that it comes down to "Because Emperor" and dislike of Chaos. I don't see a lot of reasons for the name that aren't superficial and discredited by a deeper look at the lore.
principal of the matter, mostly. it'd never end up happening, but could you imagine if the LSM side had their units named from chaos standpoints? Rage would happen. Rage worthy of one of Khorne's own. Though when I gather data as a loyalist, i've named them all appropriately. JPA is the emprah's fairy and the GA is shieldy the meek.
I think we could all picture the mountains of salt that would pile on the forums if the loyalists had their classes renamed Lapdogs or Scum.
Even as a Loyalist, I agree with you and voted yes. I can totally accept your argument even though you are traitors.... I acknowledge that you calling yourselves traitors, is something Chaos wouldn't do.
People are allowed their preferences. Some Chaos players may honestly feel Traitor is a cooler/better name than Chaos Space Marine. Some giggling idiots may be doing it purely to troll Chaos players, safe in the knowledge that this particular lunacy would not be applied to the other factions. Some may have more esoteric reasons. At the end of the day, those 5 (so far) have chosen not to post in this thread. Which is absolutely fine by me, because if the votes in favour of retaining Traitor are minimal, and the arguments in favour of it non-existent, that adds more weight to our case for making the change.
I guess. Probably me just unable to answer the question of why it should remain the same and hoping someone could enlighten me =/
