A Question For The Game Developers (and A Discussion Point)

Why do they expect us to shell out money so early for a game that didn't give us anything beyond words at E3. I'm hyped for the game but also kind of concerned about the way it was approached. I'll definitely be buying the 120$ founders pack since I truly believe that this game has the potential to be amazing. But I just wanted to know what you guys think about how they handled this.

There is still plenty of time till the 25th, and Miguel and the new community manager Katie both stated theres ALLOT in store for us in the upcoming weeks. So they will probably cram us full of info in that time period.

If they dont though, i fully agree that it could have been handled much better. Heck if the basic class rosters arent revealed in full i find it odd for anyone to expect someone to buy cosmetics for things they didnt even see confirmed. So yeah, if it stays at this point (which it wont if the words of Miguel/Katie are true) i too will mainly participate out of "blind faith" as one of our newer members put it.

  3. They gave us much more before E3. Yes, E3 has been a disappointment for the fans, but not so much for the press. We will be seeing some gameplay footage next week from IGN if memory serves me correctly. Other than E3, the devs have been very honest and trustworthy in the past year.
  4. Give it some time with us already knowing about the 25th I am sure Behavior will have more than our minds can handle soon enough.

The OP is pretty much the situation the developers have created by their mistake. All of us active people know whats up, but new people who are just hearing about the game are going to be thinking exactly that. Why do they expect us to pay for something they haven't shown us?

Not much we can do now apart from wait for the IGN interview

I guess I'm just jumpy since I'm not really familiar with the studio.
  7. With release so close to the Founders stuff we will see everything soon enough the Dev team so far has been very open with us and very rarely missed any if at all deadlines they have set for releasing info about the game. It can be a little tricky for someone new to see much of the progression here as there isn't much complied in one place but as time has progressed with each newsletter and any time the devs give us images or bits of info you can see more and more of the picture and I am sure the 25th will hold a lot more in store for us.
  8. They don't expect anything. Founders packs go on sale from the 25th, they don't stop being on sale any time soon. There are no plans to limit the numbers sold.

Something went kaput in the E3 plans, but anything they'd planned to share beyond words can still be announced over the next two weeks. And I'm sure will be.

E3 is only E3. Some of us have been on this journey for months, watching and engaging from the sidelines.

Take yourself as an example. Despite the perception of an underwhelming E3 (although EC is still well in the pre-beta stages), you're intending to buy the most expensive founders pack. ;)

  9. I have to agree with the general sentiment in the thread thus far, there is plenty of time until the 25th and I would assume Behavior wouldn't make a deadline like that without having somthing to show. I will certainly be following with cautious optimism.
