Well i mean this idea isnt far fetched tho i gotta disagree with it. IT be kina stupid to have crap ever where. I mean yes u can argue with me faction differences and their personal habits like the Orks luv of Dakka und Space marine trying to save and use ammo wisely like my Ork brotha said kinda ( Heresy aint I right Boyz!!,conservin, ammo day outta be shot for not shootin ) Yes but no, I mean Orks are famous for taking SM and CSM ammo and using their weapons that dont try and control them like chaos weapon then they die cuz of said weapons so other orks loot them and the cycle continu..... where was i like dakka said factions dunt usually allow use of other guns from other factions its just wrong. and like it was said Orks just dont give a dam, if they got time they make it orky if they need it now they shot it. Of course balancing and gameplay become a huge factor in this debate then and you gotta break fluff someplaces. The big thing tho is that the re-spawn vehicles will most likely be outfitted or be able to be with ammo dumps and resupplies so you can go on a shootin spree like an Ork! and not worry.
Not at all. Mechanics can be in place so attackers can strategically place resupply vehicles or call in resupply drop pods. We used resupply vehicles to great effect playing WWII Online when attacking. Friendly players would station their vehicles near the front and move those vehicles forward in order to resupply the front line attackers. That game has been out since 2001 and is still up and running so it's not a new "groundbreaking" concept. So you might have to run back and grab more ammo... big deal. I prefer that over never ending ammo on each character or support classes that have a magic bag with a never ending supply ammo packs.
As long as it's fun and there's a decent balance between ranged and melee gameplay. One of the bigger problems this game is going to face to trying to keep it fun for both playstyles.
