Wouldn't that mean we could just make our own gear... and not need to buy theirs? Like, Reskin items that exist, and not need to buy the RTC items?
? We'd be submitting models and such to the developer team so they could bundle up a few of them and ship them of to GW for approval.
Well, it's definitely an interesting idea, or at the very least, it could take workload off the team or outsource? There's just so many other issues at the moment that I hope your idea doesn't get ignored.
Before ive sign a way for be to get more money i would actually like to see money being spent on something besides reskins and new maps made from prebuilt blocks. terminators/wraithguards/meganobz would be a good start. Or finally exarch weapons for eldar. Or missing classes like librarians, techmarines, mekboys, weirdboys, warp spiders and rangers. Or staves for sorcs/librarians.
Community made maps using pre approved assets that are already ingame could breath so much life into this game. Personally I'm not bothered about cosmetics, but maps and gamemodes could really push this game forward
The team currently seems somewhat busy. I'd rather hand bE a way to make more money and get some more content out while they're busy rather than sit here with nothing while they inch along.
Id rather have some sign that this money will actually be spent on delivery of more content rather than more monetization. They have money from f2p launch, surely ppl bought some rtc, use that for animating termies, ill gladly support new shoulderpads for those then.
Maps for sure - even a way to use tilesets of existing assets in a terrain editor would go a long way. Like Total War: Warhammer did with their recent community map maker project.
If I had a guest pass to asset the library and software, I'd make maps all day for you @Noah. And you know they'd be awesome. You'd have hundreds..... And a lot more snow, urban, and volcanic ones because we still hardly have any.
