Hello. As you can see my name is Kylestien. I am new to pretty much everything in the Warhammer 40K thing, and know just about nothing except it's a universe of endless war where kindness is rarely seen. But hopefuly you will show some kindness to the new guy in the thread. As for what side I have picked, so far I have picked Ork, because they seem the most fun to me. Though that may change in future. Now, on to the questions: 1: I have a awful laptop. Like, can hardly run some flash games awful. So as you can imagine, I can't actually play the game on my PC and while this one is not dead I don't really want to get a new one for various reasons like lack of money ETC. I DO however have a new PS4. So, before I really continue with my presence on this forum, I need to know: is there any plans to bring this game and it's packs to PS4? I find this universe interesting and wish to be a part of it, maybe even buying founder IF I can, but there's no real point in me buying a founder pack if I can't play the game. Pklus, I'm of the opnion that a FTP game of Warhammer on PS4 (Or Xbox One if you are so inclined) can only do good for the popularity of the franchise. I know I'd give it a shot. 2: Does this character idea work and if I were to write a short story on it what would i need to do and know to make it work. (Note, it's a very work in progress since again I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE WORLD) Basically, it's a Ork that got lost or his group was killed when very young, and was brought in by a Elder and learnt stuff. However, this was not a act of kindness: he was a experiment to see if Orks could be caught and trained to be loyal to Elder cuases. When he found out about this, he went into the Ork rage, escaped, and killed them all. It was then he discovered a love for battle as well as a love of knowledge though they would often conflict. He sought out the Ork cheif and explained his story, and the Cheif pretty much said "I don't care where you are from, I care if you are a Ork or not!" And set up a challenge for him. The challengeseemed to be a simple fight to the death, but then he bid the Ork choose his weapon out of 4: One Space Marine, One Chaos Marine one, One Elder One and one Ork one. The ork, being smart, picked the Ork one and kills with it, proving he's a ork. he then gets sent to whichever chapter would be best to both learn about Ork Culture, knowledge and battle since the Cheif reckons he can use the smart guy to his advantage one day. I have no idea if that works, I just made it up on the spot. 3: Is there anything you reckon I need to know about this universe and the game that I have not mentioned from my questions?
Love that story, I dont think people would agree, its very non-canon, but I thought it was brilliant. 40k takes a while to get into the best way to understand it is by reading the lore This timeline should help, skip a few bits if you want, it starts to piece together after a while http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline_of_the_Warhammer_40,000_Universe EC may come to PS4, we dont know for sure, but we know the devs are making some deals with Microsoft and Sony. My tips for 40k? Ultramarine Space Marines are bad, stay away from them if you can. If you dont understand something, or something sounds stupid, blame a guy called Matt Ward. Orks are a good choice, they are a fun race, read some of their lore, you will enjoy it. Eldar are space elves, no matter how you look at it. There are no 'Bad guys' in 40k, everyone is just following their beliefs, except orks and tyranids, they are just there for funsies. Don't start an argument about 40k with anyone unless you actually have the correct answer or response, arguments can last forever. Dont compare other games to 40k, or 40k to other games, its is its own universe. Also, since you like Orks, check out the Ork section on the forms, get to know the community, if you dont know what to say, just yell WAAAAAAGGGGHHH. I will show some kindness my friend! Here are some answers! 1. Well the developers said that they are working on getting the franchise on the Next-gen consoles namely PS4 and XBox1. Also I understood that both communities (PC and Console) will be playing in one huge server, but that I suppose is not completely official! I suppose more news will be made available when they seal the deal with Sony and Microsoft! In the meantime DO NOT BUY a founders pack since they are made to work (for now) only for PC and MAC! 2. There is nothing bad in writing some "Fluff" for your character. In your case I don't know if it would work, because you really need to get into the lore of the game to do that! However I can help you with that! Its a brutal community ruled by a Warboss and therefore there is little importance in a single individual (except the Warboss)! Just so you know I am not very informed on Ork lore in general I am sort of a Heretic so I mainly study the ways of the Imperium of man and the forces of Chaos! 3. Welcome to the forums brother. Yeah 40k is super interesting. Haha I would disagree with you saying there are no 'bad' guys in 40k. I would say there are no 'good' guys. But yeah its very balanced in that each side has its own good and bad traits even the chaos gods.Eg Slaanesh followers kind of get a lot of 'pleasure', haha (if slaanesh doesn't devour your soul). Chaos. Really interesting to read into the chaos gods lore. Chaos is actually a mirror of reality but our drives, lust,impulses,nightmares. Its a chaotic rhelm of nightmares. The chaos gods are really interesting eg Tzeentch who has such knowledge of everyones schemes he knows the future. Spacemarines. Im playing spacemarines. I just love their weapons and lore. Favourite chapter Dark Angels gotta love their dark knight look. Orks. I do like the idea of the orks. Huge Nobs with power klaws just look amazing. Eldar. I dont really know muc about the eldar. Except they live on huge moon sized ships called craftworlds. Anyway the wars in 40k will blow your mind Some awesome ones to check out. Wars for magragge between Ultramarines and Tyranids(I cant rememeber what there called exactly) 2nd war for Armageddon between Orks and Various Space Marine chapters 13th Black Crusade Istvaan 5 drop site massacre. Traitor legions vs various loyalist legions. (Raven gaurd are almost wiped out completely.) Hope to see you on the battlefield.

They love war, and this is the universe for them You'll love them for their careless, joyful/hyper personality because the rest of the factions are all grim and serious.
