Ares just stood there, and shook his head. He looked up as a Thunderhawk Gunship screamed down towards him, intending to extract him. He quickly took the opportunity to escape while the Drones provided the distraction.
~My Lord, the fire warriors have left the planets surface, now is the time to leave.~ The ancient guardian said concerned to Tolczaro. ~Do not presume to give me orders. I have a plan to ensure our escape.~ the hunched lord said in a light tone. Just as he spoke the pounding of machines ceased. From the desert emerged a massive necrodermis made tomb ship. ~Initate phase shift.~ The Lord said raising his staff and tapping it on the ground. In an instant every Necron on the surface, some still engaged in combat with the spreading plague, vanished. The ship dipped as the weight was suddenly added to it, but it's ascent is not hindered. The only necrons that did not phase shift were the Deathmarks. They had waited for the perfect shot, but before the leadership could be eliminated, they vanished into the ship set to leave with the weapon. In silence they hopped back into an alternate dimension to board the large cruiser. Inside slightly unused portions of the ship they waited, invisible and silent.
As the tau left the lord watchman slowley floated in front of the star "so they planed to destroy the sun to whipe out the system" as he spoke he threw a crystal towards the sun On the planet the necrons received a signol from c'tan shards near the sun
It might be a bit early, some might not even believe in the holiday, but to all the little greenskins out there, no matter how much I hate having to purge you, here is a little song for you and the fast coming holiday season View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHU179ACO1Q
Selhiat audibly inhaled as he regained consciousness. Dazed, he coughed and noticed his vision blur noticeably. He felt a warm wetness on his face, and noticed his facemask now had a notable splotch of blood across it. His ears still ringing of tinnitus, he removed the bloodied mask and looked to his side. He was in a small crater besides the torn bodies of his fellows. Four dead. Definitely dead. He didn't stand due to fear of being spotted but it would have been surprising to anyone if they saw someone still standing from that blast. He tried to sit himself up, but was halted by a sharp pain in his chest. Falling back down, he resigned himself to crawling. He drug himself, with difficulty, up to the edge of the crater. The damnable thing was still there, moving roughly north-north-east at a slow pace with its detachment of infantry support. Nothing was looking his way; they thought him dead. He moved back to his former comrades. One by one, he carefully plucked their soulstones, laid back against the edge of the crater, and radioed back to the rest of the warhost. "Ranger Selhiat of ranger team 3 to Warhost. In the blind: Necron presence confirmed, they are in my grid moving with Monolith towards the North-North-East with heavy ground support. Unit compromised and assaulted with a particle whip; I am the sole survivor requesting dustoff." Looking down at the lacerations and burns on his chest, he could tell that his mesh took what hit him...after it went through his friends. Nonetheless, he was still bleeding quite badly and he felt incredibly weak. He could only hope for aid to come quickly.
(Feel like I need to post something) The Drones came, following their pre-set instructions from the Farsight enclave Tau which had long evacuated the area. They saw the crater and all, scanning the area until one of them saw Selhiat. It stopped and inquisitively scanned him before making a non-agressize beeping noise. It played a message about a non aggression pact and a bigger recon drone came, dropping a first aid kit, then heading off into the distance to fight the oncoming Necrons(PS: the drones won't give any response, they're drones after all) Meanwhile, the Tau drone network, using their initiative had some custom-built(By the long gone Commander Flamewing) saboteur drones that latched onto the ship , intending to bring it down. With simultaneos precision they engaged their pulse lasers, autonomously drilling through the hull. Some heavy gun drones, gun drones and even missile drones prepared to flood into the ship, once the hole was of perfect size. Gah. Edit that about the truce, I thought you were a human...XD But because the Tau have some mercy, keep the Aid kit anyway.
"...the [monosyllabic Eldar expletive]?" Selhiat sputtered, exasperated. He wasn't going to look this gift horse in the mouth. "Um...much appreciated, though I'm quite sure your biology and mine differ too much," Selhiat stated to the drone in the closest to the Tau dialect he could manage as he reached for the kit. He'd never dealt with them directly before so it had taken a moment for him to realize whose drone that had to be. Back on comms with whoever amongst the Eldar was listening, "Ranger Selhiat to Warhost. In the blind: Neutral Tau drone presence in my grid. They've offered me medical supplies and claim we have a truce. I'm inclined to believe them at this point but and I'm accepting it for now, but please advise." He then opened the package and although he had some trouble making heads or tails of much of the alien first aid kit, there were some things one could never get wrong. The bio-foam would probably kill his differing biology if he tried to use it, but the anti-biotics, anti-septics, and bandages are quite hard to get wrong. After a few minutes, he satisfactorily covered his lacerations. Then his clouded mind realized how exposed he was in the crater. He carefully stood into a crouch, gritting his teeth in agony, and moved for nearby foliage to cover his position and give what was left of his cameleoline something better to blend with. After all, those Tau drones spotted him way too easily. He attempted to cover himself to mitigate thermal exposure. He then pulled the first aid kit back in front of him. Now about those burn wounds... EDIT: I've followed suit appropriately, no 'truce' statement but at least a good word. Also corrected some grammatical mistakes.
Ranger Selhait wasted no time, from a quick scan he found a small brush-line providing cover better than nothing. He had to meditate for just a moment, it was at least 15 meters away and there was no cover in between. He took in a deep breath and went to ground. move, stop, listen, smell, watch, move stop listen smell watch. this process continued for more than one half of a standard Terra hour. As Selhait made it into the brush he could move a bit faster, he took a quick scan of his surroundings to find a vantage point which was easily spotted at the top of a nearby hill and so slowly made his way there. as he neared the hilltop he slowed down--Imperial sandbags, Selhait had just crawled onto an old Imperial gunners nest. He slung his rifle and slowly drew his shuriken pistol. With a clear mind he gracefully vaulted the sandbags and would have been aiming right at the guardsmen--if they weren't already dead. Selhait quickly rummaged around for any salvageable supplies. as he picked up one of the gurdsamn radios it crackled to life "This i<static> 7<static> gung<static>" followed by a long period of static. wanting to know what this mammal needed to say and hopefully pick up enemy movement data Selhait cleared the signal as best he could by replacing as many broken parts as possible with other radios. The transmission came through once more: This is Commander Imperitus leading the 707th Gungir division, If you are hearing this you are ordered to immediately rendezvous at 18 Longitude, 30 Latitude. We are taking this planet.
((Funny thing I'm not dead. ^_^)) ((Heads up Avocado, it's poor form to take over someone's character in a PbP RP. It's advisable to take up your own character as others talking for you can be very frustrating.))
