As luminous prepared his men for the current mission he received a vox from the thunder hawk "comander I am picking up a dark matter reaction from beneath the tau base" as the pilot spoke luminous walked through the camp to flamewing
"What was on the manta" as he spoke he put his hand on his swords hilt

    ( I'm back after some brainstorming! )

** 50 Years ago on Imperial world Derata Secundis **

Cold air and mist shrouded the evacuated city. A silent epitaph to the nature of border worlds. Guardsmen huddled around small campfires near bunkers and gun emplacements. The relaxed mood would quickly give way at the smallest sound. Lasguns would be quickly raised, scanning the distorted horizon.

"By the throne! I know we're safe at the camp, but Eldar and fog give me the creeps." The men grumbled as they ate their rations. A first for any guardsmen where they found themselves jealous of their fellow soldiers fighting off Ork hordes or gunning down heretics. It was the silence and calm of the city that frightened them more than their Commissar.

Emerging from the fog were silver giants, golden hands gripping bolters and chainswords. "Fear not Guardsman. The Eldar may be crafty, but when backed into a corner with none of their tricks, they fall before the might of the Imperium." Smiles and salutes followed as the Iron Fists walked by into the base. "Ever the people person, eh Thalias?"

"Arimus, you know these men are on edge. They know that entire patrols and defensive emplacements have been wiped out. No bodies. Nothing."
    "Seems strange, even for Eldar."
"That's why I'm concerned. It's not every day where an Inquisitor demands the aid of our chapter for a border world."

The squad entered the command bunker. Servitors and various staff going from console to console. "We just lost contact with the scouting team!" A sigh quickly followed the news. The Lord General looked at the console and frowned, his already tired face looking more beleaguered. He quickly assigned new orders to the perimeter forces. "We're fighting shadows here!"

"Lord General, we've returned. The Eldar have moved their forces again, deeper into the city."
"This puts us in a poor position. If we advance our front line, they'll be taken out by Eldar forces before any defensive posture can be taken. If we don't, the Eldar are that much closer to whatever objective they seek."

Lord General Larus grimaced as he read the newest report. "The Inquisitor's camp has been overrun by the Eldar." Silence fell over the command bunker. Arimus broke in, "Any word on the Inquisitor's status?"

    "Dead, sir."

  5. Flamewing had a second of think before he spoke his response. Despite trusting these Imperial Forces, he just was following orders. He was told not to reveal anything about it, except to his sub commanders and himself.
    He gave a cover-up saying:
"We[The manta] were salvaging parts of a Nova Reactor and weaponry, which is huge, mind you. Which is why we sent a manta. If your asking, it was from a XV-104 a battle earlier with Warboss Krol'jas. Speaking of which, I must soon attend battle. We have potential Chaos Space Marine threats, by the way." He mentioned about the Chaos Space marines in an attempt to distract him.

He didn't want to kill Imperial forces pointlessly, after all they had allied to stop the Orks and other forces. Also, he secretly contacted a Farsight Enclave official about the Dark Matter Nova Reactor(At the same time). Just mention it to the Imperial Forces as a way to power the XV-107 for their relief? Or keep it a secret so the Orks or anyone wouldn't get even a gist of it?
  6. (back after some time)
The Huntsman rushed through the hive, killing left and right with the pack of hounds on his side.
He heard less and less warhorns
"DAMNED" the daemon cried out "WE NEED MORE". He ran back to the summoning site.
Bloodletters were starting to diminish in numbers and the Huntsman went out to get more.
The rain of blood seemed to decrease, but after a few moments it returned in double force. Pools of blood started to form all around the Huntsman and then allround the hive. From these pools, small Bloodletters started to form in a similar way that orks would form from funghi.
The Huntsman smiled and went on the search for a potent psyker.

If one were to see in the mind of the Huntsman one would see twisted images, forming targets. But there was a lot of emptiness due to the Tau. He sought and searched, but could not find a suitable target.
Suddenly a space marine commander's image came to its mind. It saw how it commanded a sniper to take out his banner bearers. It saw its cowardice. It derived a name.
With a warped hissing sound the Huntsman said "Luminous", sure to reach its target with an attempt to instill fear. "GET HIM!" The Huntsman cried out.
And forth went the hounds, the Bloodletters and the cries of the warhorns turned towards the loyalist space marines. Ignoring Ork, Tau, Eldar alike.

"Kill the coward! Bring his skull for the Skullthrone!"

It didn't know how he would reach his target, but the daemon went for it.

Luminous turned from flamewing he let out a small growl and walked out of the camp the tau noticed this but what they saw was his sword drawn "watchmen on me" as he bellowed a bolt of blue light emenated in front of him and out walked a masive space marine nearly as tall as a crisis suit without him being in terminator armour "cheif librarian tempest you felt the blood didnt you"

"A daemon has targeted you" as tempest spoke he growled
  8. Flamewing wondered: What's a daemon? Nevermind that, he thought. As the watchmen left his sight, he went to check on his XV-107. At long last. It was ready. He began to walk to the cockpit to soon drive this suit. Time to show Krol'jas who was really the smartest. Bring the bigger gun to the fight, he thought, gleeing at the menace he'd finally eradicate.

An urgent cry of help came from the comma. He then heard his Tau warriors back at where the Huntsman was going, simply awed by this 'Deamon' they saw come out. In a almost dumbstruck manner of speech, they emptily told him it headed in direction of the base(Luminous is in front of it I guess for the moment, but still lateral). Flamewing abandoned his plot to get Krol'jas for now. Good thing they hadn't found the tracker probe yet. He headed to help his Tau with a massive Hunter Cadre force with him. He even had 2 XV-104's with him.

Back in battle, drones and fire warriors aimed at the Huntsman, signaling to send whatever the heck that creature was right back, and several hammerheads aiming their Railguns at the creature(the daemon)

"Flamewing the daemon is in the city corect" as luminous spoke he had the buring blade in hand his sheild in the other "we shall fight alongside the tau in this battle we will engage in direct combat and prevent the daemons frim geting too close to the fire teams" as he spoke ten storm ravens landed fir his men to set off back to the city
  10. The Huntsman stopped and drew out his warhorn.
Ag'rhi'keff howled and pack upon pack of Bloodhounds amassed.
The Huntsman blew on his horn and the torrents of bloody rain only intensified. Soon enough the visual range decreased in such a manner that one could only seperate rain from daemon at 3 meters or less. Beyond that, everything became a blur of red.
Leagues of Bloodletters came to the sickening call of the Huntsman's warhorn.

As the veil between warp and materium became even more blurred at the summoning point, a black juggernaut stepped out of the portal and rushed towards the Huntsman, who then mounted the beast.
The Huntsman saw his foes and signalled a charge.

Bloodcurdling warhorn blast after blast sounded through the ranks. The banners of blood started to advance and smaller bloodletters charged without mind.
From the portal flew Furies with unholy speed to assault the advancing joint force of Tau and Human alike.
The Huntsman stayed at the rear as it donned two massive pauldrons of brass on it's shoulder and connected himself to his mount with a brass collar of his own.
He was one of Khorne's prized weapons against psykers and the like afterall.
Ag'rhi'keff was also donned a much wanted collar.
Around the psyker hunting pair stood threefold eight Bloodletters with brass topped horns and axes rather than swords. And Bloodhounds with iron teeth rather than bone.
Eight banners and eight warhorn blowers formed a second circle and four time eight more Bloodletters with swords, forming a box formation of swords, formed the next.

So it began that they marched and charged for their foes. Soon they would taste the blood of tau and human alike.

    And the Huntsman's eyes...
They locked onto the sword of fire and the shield of the human commander and he called out.
"Luminous... I come for you... Your Blood shall flow within the moat of the Brass Citadel and your Skull will adorn the Skull throne. Come and face me coward!"
Ag'rhi'keff simply howled. and the other hounds howled with him, creating an earsplitting chorus of bloodcurdling howls.

Off in the distance an Imperial Guardsman who heard the howl shot himself in the face with a lasgun before his commisar could shoot him
