I would not care a single bit if animations would be more clunky then we are used to, if it would enable them to push out content faster. Really. Who gives a damn about animations anyways?
I know am worried. What can be done to keep players? Serious question.. probably better for a new thread but still.
Yes I also agree that mocap is a waste of time, the animations they derived from them although some good are largely a waste of money and effort. If money is short it could definately have been spent elsewhere. My point was to put forward the concept of raising money for game expansion which could work like stretch goals which would stop money being wasted on unnecessary features. Maybe BE need to start designing and selling good quality 40K models they will feature in game like Star Citizen does. They can be bought with real money like Rogue trader stuff but can also be available for massive in game prices like 500,000 or 1 million requisition. By this I mean Bikes, jet bikes, vehicles guild ships etc. Obviously those who already paid for their Bikes and jetbikes deserve to get them. We need more commitment from the team that larger world is on the roadmap because many seem to be losing or have already lost faith in this game's further development.
Put a tutorial in the game. So people don't join, get confused then get angry then get killed. Then never play again. That would be how you keep people.
Here comes the issue with new 3D assets - new shoulders, alt weapons, bikes all this could be called cosmetics, and devs mentioned like 10 times in a last month that "its 3D assets oh gosh, we need to order third part to make them, we dont want to do that, so we delay anything related". Not even talking about "guild ship", while they cant make a simple guild related garrison which doesnt requires any art or modelling.
Agree, its also needed. This stands in line with many other things..So it will take forever or they do something and expand the team again..F2P player influx is a best argument for the superiors..
one problem here the DEVS themselves gave out the roadmap and timeline for expansions and 'other' things which i am sorry to say very few if any have been met
Then don't even make a tutorial. The Final fantasy MMO has a "novice network". It's essentially a chat channel that Veteran players are put in after certain requirments are met. Then any new player can ask for advice or tips. I think it would be pretty handy here.
I have no understanding of that saying.... Do they come with a melee animation for PUNTING said nurglings? It doesn't matter HOW many people you got playing your game. If you don't have something fresh to keep people coming back for more your game WILL die. That's the problem with EC currently there is nothing really game changing to keep the hype flowing like it was in launch. Going F2P wa a good move, but it as more of a band aid to the real problems.
Showing one bracer for one faction was a real low point as far as the twitches go, it was barely any different from the standard one. It is a worry if that's all they have to discuss... let us in on the planning you have done, talk about the concepts, let us know things are happening because at the moment it feels like there are a handful of guys working on the balancing and there is no one else available to do anything else. If the balancing is always going to be worked on, as is often stated then who is going to be able to produce anything else. We had to borrow Alexis from another project just to have someone who can look at the melee.... A replay feature ripped from a different project isn't going to cut it show us the new maps, even if they are untextured, we have had that before or are they not even at that stage. Give us hope.
