"Affirmative, High Command." Oskar confirmed over the Vox-Box and turned around to address his Platoon Command Squad. War was waging on on the world of Kar Durun, a Mining World near Kar Duniash, which delivers materials to said world. It is a vital point to further produce ships, which is why the loss of this world is unacceptable. Ten Regiments from Ruvorn had been deployed to prepare defenses and for driving the enemy off the world. Seven of these are Infantry and Heavy Infantry Regiments, two are siege and the other one is a support regiment. The operation is being supported by the Imperial Navy through air support. Local PDF is essentially non-existing after they perished through the initial attack.

Enemy are Orks which arrived with a massive Rok that obliterated a major mining facility and one of the three local space ports. The extraction already has been significantly reduced and to lose more would have grave consequences across the segmentum.

"The plan is that we use one of the elevator shafts, going down into one of the major mining facilities and secure it. The moment we give the 'secured' order, a bunch of Mechanicus lads will come and prepare for mineral extraction again. We will keep the spot safe until the next platoon arrives and we push for the next hub. We will keep doing this along with other regiments all over the area, pushing the Orks back sector by sector, until we have them cornered and then incinerate them all together like the vermin they are." Oskar announced, broadcasting the message also to the rest of the regiment through the Vox-Caster of Martin Falkenauge.

"Any last words to the sky before we go underground?!" He demanded to know with a wide grin as he rose his Power Fist high into the air. Hochmann was a leader, and not one who would just demand others to do the job, no. He knew that if you want to get something done, you have to aid completing the task yourself.

xalia stood behind the commander a small smile over her face as she watched the commander, it amazed her that he could perfectly motivate troops, in some ways she was surprised he was not a commissar, a priest or a politician "may the emperor guide you all" as she spoke she did so into a small vox unit so that it could be heard by everyone, as she spoke she looked at the commander and wondered if this mission would go smoothly.

Viktoria had her rifle slung over her shoulder, waiting for others to speak after the commander did. She'd been in the Guard for long enough to realize that an ordinary soldier like her had nothing to say when cap-wearing people were around.
And so, she waited, occasionally turning her head to look around and at her comrades. While the von Kirschhain zu Auroris did not know the layout of the mines, she did at least consider it much likely that she'd be unable to use her primary skillset very much. In fact... that did seem like a plausible question.
"Ah, Commander Hochmann, Sir? How much do we know about the terrain? Will long-distance shooting be likely, or even possible?", she asked after audibly clearing her throat, her voice not fitting the stereotype of a quiet killer, being loud, warm, and full both of herself and the unmistakable sound of a mirthful working-class soldier.

Artyom dropped his cigar on the floor and pressed the heel of his boot on it. After a sharp sizzle he moved to the side of Hochmann. The master of ordinance was not new to this kind of enemy and what he had previously read about them. This would be the first time face to face, and like advised, he was going in with no expectations.

With his pistol to his side, side and his autgun slung across his chest. He made a apparent sign that he was ready.

"There are terminals down in the mines so that even Ogryn-Miners can find the proper way. So nothing to worry my little Owl, given also the size of some machines they got down there we probably will have enough space for some of your talents! Once we arrive down there we have to assess which tunnels are still intact, which might be broken and so on. But High Command stated that we even have one of the more intact areas here." Oskar said with a confirming nod and then gave the hand sign for getting moving.

Almost immediately the platoon started moving in orderly fashion within squads. Platoon Lead Hochmann waited till they were gone before addressing the command squad.

"Alright. While the lads wrap camp up and get the supplies down there, we will actually be the vanguard and ensure that nothing goes too wrong. Ludwigs, grab an Autocannon. You others grab whatever you like to kill some green parasites! Let's roll out!" And so he led himself the 'delegation' of warriors to the Mining Shaft elevator. It was easily big enough to even get an entire squad of Angels of Death Terminators down there. So just with the handful of Imperial Guard soldiers it would look somewhat empty.

Mark kept silent while the big man spoke, occasionally spitting on the ground. He kept his bolter loaded and the spare mags close by, in case he runs out of bullets quickly. Veteran's shaved head was clear for everyone to see, never a guy for wearing hats despite being in a military. Not like he gonna need it for where they are going.

Once at the mining shaft, Mark also made sure he had some nades with him, just to be on the safe side. Standing next to Heavy weapons specialists, he just offered them a slight nod in agreement with their choice of weapons. This is going to be one helluva ride, into the dark like a rat to push the Greenskins out of it. Solid plan like any.

"Ever gunna wear a helmet, young one?" The older of the heavy weapons team asked, wearing his own obviously. The younger one maintained the Autocannon and prepared it while his father engaged in conversation with Mark. It was not unusual for the more senior members to connect with the younger ones. Everyone could tell from the grey hair and the amount of scars that Ludwig senior here was at around the age of the platoon leader himself.

Martin Carefully wen't over to the elevator with his lasrifle ready almost thinking something was going to come out of it. "Gonna be a interesting fighting these Ork xenos in these caves. How many of these things you think were gonna see come at us Think they will be as many as those Tyranids?" he asked as he approached the elevator

Viktoria nodded at Lion's reply. Her possibly getting to sharply shoot something would be better than a guaranteed close quarters fight. And so, with a shrug mostly directed at herself, and a quick popping of her fingers, the guardswoman grabbed her gear, secured her rifle, and moved to join the others, overhearing some talk of the others.

"Now I don't... really remember seeing a Tyrannis thing in real life, been a little girl back then and all, but going by what the Primer says, and pretty much every legless vet is so eager to confirm, I'd wager the Orks are a bit fewer in number", the sniper said jokingly, "Though it might be an exaggeration. Pretty sure they're more than us right now though. I'm a hundred per cent sure greenskins can be killed, at any rate. Though I've been told it's better to double tap, triple tap... just keep tapping, y'know."

"Hmpf," Mark shrugged as his grey eyes scanned the environment, "Helmet won't save you where we are going, old man."
